Glenn Beck, a Chainsaw and a BUNNY???

I have NO clue what Glenn Beck was trying to prove, but this might be of particular interest to a certain myLotter who frequently posts in this interest who also happens to be a cute little blue bunny:
Glenn Beck used some eyebrow-raising props on his Tuesday show to explain...well, something: a chainsaw and a bunny.
Throughout the show, Beck kept referencing a seeming analogy that would use the bunny and the chainsaw. In one instance, he used the analogy while comparing the "five pillars" of President Obama's then-upcoming State of the Union address to the "five pillars of Islam."
"You'll never guess how many pillars the president is going to focus on tonight..five," Beck said. "Has anybody ever heard of the five pillars of Islam? Mr. President, now you're just poking people. I know that it has nothing to do with that, but you're just poking people. it would be like if I came out with a chainsaw and a bunny rabbit. Now, am I going to cut the cute little bunny rabbit in half? You'll have to find out."
Beck kept teasing viewers with the gruesome prospect, but, when he finally got to the bunny and the chainsaw, the denouement was rather confusing. He had someone saw off a part of a tree, which he used to preview his "own" State of the Union speech on Wednesday's show.
"Everything is embedded with our answer," he said, "...but sometimes you have to get a chainsaw to get to the answer."
Right after that, though, he said, "did we need to have the chainsaw to get the answer? No."

Read it and watch it here:

WTF??? Has he finally really lost it and should we call PETA?

there was no need for the huff-po link, I knew instantly from thae way this was written you didn't get your information from the actual show.
First...the 5 pillars thing was a stab at people who would take Obama's use of the term to the extreme of saying it proves he's a muslum.
Second...the bunny was , lol, well, find the actual episode of the show and watch it....other wise you miss the whole point and I can assure you huff-po is not going to give you the actual point.

Yeah, he must have lost it. Not one bit of that made sense to me! Though, I honestly have to say not much about politics does make sense to me. Normally when I want something political explained I have to ask my husband, who will explain it to me in plain English.
I was hoping he was talking about a stuffed bunny. Maybe we should call PETA.

Ah.. I didn't see that.. just read your description. That's an odd way of teasing people.. because honestly even those on the right would probably go a little crazy assuming he'd chainsaw a cute little bunny in half.

Glenn Beck is nothing but a troll. He just says things in an attempt to get a reaction. He's one of those people who constantly needs to be the center of attention, so he just pulls things out of his "you know what" and tries to give himself a feeling of importance. Awwww.. Yeah this isn't a rant or anything...
I stay positive. I don't listen to fear-mongers. I have no idea what he was trying to say, but I'm going to take a wild guess and say he wasn't really going anywhere with it. Have a great day! Namaste

I've heard his ratings have been falling lately. No, I haven't looked it up so if anyone wants to dispute it, have at it. I can't understand how he ever had a lot of viewers to begin with but I guess some like to
watch others make fools of themselves.

I read that somewhere too! There was a Jewish group who circulated a petition for signatures that would be sent to his "boss" ... seems they were outraged over something he had ranted that they considered anti-semetic.
I can't watch others make fools of themselves either annie! And, I'm disgusted by people who use fools to make money!

Why did Glenn Beck come out with a bunny and a chainsaw? He says he was tired of being portrayed as the bad guy, this was just a tease. He says it was to keep liberal bloggers on the edges of their seats, to see how many would rave that he was going to kill a bunny on live TV. It was done to drive the left crazy. It seems to have worked.
In the end, although he didn't injure the bunny and had no intention of doing so, its a big story on all the left-wing sites and has everyone in a stir. He so totally played the left on this one.
He said he didn't need a chainsaw to get the answer but that a gas-powered chainsaw would drive the regulators crazy.
The chainsaw and the bunny had nothing to do with his comment about the five pillars. He was obviously commenting on what he believes is the president's desire to poke those who will jump to the Muslim conclusions which makes it easier for the left to marginalize anyone who doesn't support his policies - "those crazy "birthers" who still think Obama's a closet Muslim"...etc.
What did cutting off part of a tree trunk have to do with the state of the union address? Don't know, guess he's supposed to reveal that on today's show.

I'm one from the left he hasn't driven crazy! I can't resist saying if he's tired of being portrayed as the bad guy, why doesn't he just stop BEING the bad guy? I mean, that's pretty simple, isn't it?
Anyway, it's not on ALL the left-wing sites because I only saw it on one and I found that via Twitter. I've yet to see anyone even hinting at having taken him seriously.

I caught the last 5 minutes of the show. He predicted that the blogs would be going crazy, citing that "Glenn Beck has a chainsaw and a bunny!"
I'm not much on Beck, but the guy owns HARD.

Gladys: that's a question better posed for Beck, not me.
Annie: you're looking.
