My mom just see a doctor this morning, and night time, I took the prescription that she got from the doctor to CVS to get her medication. The total cost for those medicals were summed up to $160. What a costly price, but anyway I still have to pay for it out of my pocket. Definitely the pharmacist ask about our insurance, but with insurance, we still have to pay for that price. Just think about how costly the medical and healthcare, we can't afford to get sick here, except our government will go pass that healthcare bill proposed earlier. We definitely need aide from our government.

Maybe it has been a world-wide problem now. The cost of making the medicine is actually very low, what make it expensive are R&D expense and the benefit for every level of the suppliers. The latter is of the most proportion, so it is so hard to decrease the medical cost epecially during the world finicial depression.

That's why it's not practical to even catch a cold these days. I know a father who just rackets for money for his two kids' tuition fee and he said that his one kid often gets sick, asthma I think. One thing wrong with this scenario is the father isn't doing his job at all. He's being a jerk. Licks toilets clean for one thing.

The same medications in other countries cost significantly less than they do here. I am so sorry to hear your mom's medication cost so much. I fear that our government will not be able to solve the problem. Even if the prescriptions are covered by the government, we will see the cost in our taxes. People who own businesses and property owners will shoulder the greatest part of the financial burden. Some pharmaceutical companies will subsidize the cost of medication. Contact them and see if they will give some help to offset the cost of the prescriptions. Maybe your pharmacist can help with contacting them, or even the doctor. Good luck!

This is a common problem,It exists in many parts of the world.I think there is surely commercial bribery there. The pharmaceutical salesmans pay kickbacks to doctors to boost their products sales thereby bring about expensive medical costs.
