I enjoy going to antique stores and thinking what life was like back in the 20's and 30's. I would love to have a huge victorian mansion and decorate it with stuff from all the estates and such that I go through. I would invite all my Mylot friends to come spend the weekends with me and we could make big breadfasts and have wine lunchs and brandy in the study. Maybe even a vintage cigar or two might be lit up by afew of the more demented of the gals. Do you enjoy vintage?

If I ever won Publishers Clearing house sweepstakes I would do just that. I really do love vintage stuff and love to hunt in thrift stores for old furniture too.Antiques thrill me as they have a history and also they are bigger with taller ceilings. love that gingerbread trim and the gables and turrets too. whats not to love?

We lived in one for several years when I was a child and I adored that home! It had such a rich history, that even included at one point being a brothel. I never did care much for my parents choice in house color, I remember it was a military green. But I do have very many fond memories of that home and I suppose it is what draws me to those homes now. Namaste-Anora

Yes, what's not to love? I like the steined glass on some too. I want to go to a B&B that is in a victorian. Sometimes I just go online and fine some to look at and dream.

Vintage is beautiful. It would be an awesome time to hang out in a victorian mansion with good friends.

I love vintage colored glassware. Cobalt blue and ruby red is my kitchen and living room right now....and Avon Cape Cod collection. It is dark burgundy. I am often on Etsy looking at this stuff..and Ebay too. When I think of these old Victorian houses, I think about mice. I could not even visit a house with mice.

i enjoy vintage because it takes me to a time where things were more sophisticated. Now everything is brasha and hi tech but the vintage items are subtly beautiful and takes mme to a simpler time. I enjoy items from my childhood a lot because its the time when i enjoyed life the most.

Like back to the 20's with the bangles and long strings of pearls. And steined glass windows. Simpler time but so much lovlier. Reminds me of my childhood too. When things were simpler and made better and meant more.

Before people found out the value of some things you could find lots of great stuff. Not so anymore.

CE- My husband and I practically live Steampunk. We're always picking up things that fit the "era". I think my best by was my Victorian tiffany lamp. I love the stain glass work. I also have several broaches. And my husband just made two Victorian style chokers recently. Very nice. One of the most interesting pieces in my collection is a piece that when I bought it from the seller claimed to be an old snuff bottle. It is definitely something I'd love to have appraised one day. In terms of homes we have our eye on one. There is an estate out there that as soon as we get our debt in order we want to go after as it is a true Victorian home. It is in good condition and would suit our style well. I keep that dream alive by picturing in my mind all of the quaint parties I could host, Steampunk get together s in true Victorian fashion. The home even has a drawing room for the men and a parlor for the women. I love it and keep a picture of it on my fridge. The one piece we both regret not being able to get when we saw it (we had no truck to move it) was an refurbished Victorian cast iron stove. It was in pristine condition and the seller only wanted 200 for it, and we just couldn't find a truck! Namaste-Anora
