Learning gained from my uncle

My uncle is a quiet man. Put him in a bar and he will barely talk to anyone. He doesn't get interested in anything easily. I remember an incident where he was with a politician in the same table and they barely exchanged 2 sentences. I've learned something though, he does not stop talking about business. He professes to be a simple man but deep inside his head is a brain that never stops calculating and coming up with scenarios. He is a man burdened with the responsibility of not only his own family but the families of more than a hundred people. he started out as a janitor in high school and college and worked his way through until he graduated. He impressed everyone with his brilliant mind and became vice president in a bank until he decided to strike it out on his own. Everyone called him crazy. He thought otherwise. Through the years (29 years) he built his own company brick by brick with his own hands. He laid down a secure foundation and as soon as he was satisfied, he made bold moves. All of these things ended up in success. Now I know I said he was a quiet man, but, put him in a roomful of business minded people and he will be the center of attention. He speaks with experience and success behind him. My uncle, the quiet millionaire. If there's anything I learned from him, it is how to be fearless and committed.

Our folks wouldnt say empty cans are noisy for nothing. People just the same can be lile this can. Making awful noises, with no meaning at all. Thank you for sharing. Your post is truly wonderful and inspiring.

i remember my teacher once told us that a person who is intelligent is a quiet person, and the noisy ones are not. its like a can... if its full then it is quiet. i guess that explains the trait of your uncle. i too am a quiet person... i dont really talk that much. thats why i had trouble commenting or posting at mylot when i joined. i was just looking around for a few months and was just reading. but i got used to it and enjoyed it, but still i am quiet and talk only if necessary. i dont say that i am intelligent but i have this trait that people think i am a loner.

I like what you've gain from your uncle. But I like to put the word fearless to 50-50. I might get in trouble. So I will go to commitment more.
