Hey Everyone, I am pregnant and I have gained roughly around 50 pounds. I eat all the time and can't stop. My doctor has put me on a diet. I guess I wanted to know if this is normal? Will I lose some of the weight when I have the baby? Any suggestions? I am new to this pregnancy stuff!

Hi, it is normal that you crave a lot of stuff during pregnancy. But you need to watch your diet, your weight could affect your delivery eventually and you wouldn't want to have a hard time during your labor and delivery period. Eat frequently but in small sizes :) Good luck and be safe!

In pregnancy a lady begins to show a bump at around 12 to 16 weeks. Then she gains weight over the rest of her pregnancy. A midwife usually finds out the lady's body mass index at the booking in meeting at around 10 weeks pregnancy. A lady might be under weight, average, over weight or very overweight. In pregnancy a lady needs to eat a healthy diet to give her baby good health. I think that you could try eating breakfast in the morning, lunch around mid day and dinner in the early evening. Maybe you could cut down on snacking. When the baby is born a lady takes time to get rid of the extra weight. It is possible to lose weight after having a baby but it takes time and energy. A lady doesn't usually diet during pregnancy so you could ask your doctor about this. Good luck in your pregnancy.

It's ok to eat a lot but make sure they are all healthy? When I was pregnant, I often eat but I make sure its more on fruits and vegetables. I don't drink coffees, softdrinks and those juices with colorings. I drink lots of water and unsweetened fruit juices(those natural ones). Before I eat those fruit and vegetables, I make sure I washed it properly to avoid eating pesticides from veggies. Don't eat so much fats from meat and processes foods. Too much vit.A from margarines and butter I think is not good and healthy, you search for it.
