Okay, a friend of mine ask me help, to re - install Windows XP for her, since she has some sort of problem with one of the application, and she simply wants to a fresh new Windows. So I format the hard drive for her, and re - install the Windows XP for her. You know what, after the installation done, the screen resolution just too low, only 4 bit. The color just mess up. I tried it a couple of times, it simply won't work. What is wrong here? But I install that Windows XP on my other computer, it works perfectly fine without any problem. What is with her computer then? I just want to find a solution to it.

on that kind of situation you actually forgot to install its driver. in your case some of the video cards or adapters are supported by Windows xp but since not all of the graphics card like your friends have, it may not support by the OS. you can solve your problem by installing the driver of the video card.

well you might be facing problem with Video driver.. hmmm.. I am sure you must have installed video driver when you are smart enough to format the system. do it if you haven't done yet... but one more thing I want to suggest is. check your BIOS settings and make it factory default or check if video graphics on board is enable in BIOS or not..
