Have you ever seen or heard of the TV show Flashforward? The first season concluded in May 2010, and the show never came back. I’m disappointed each time I think about it because I enjoyed this show so much. It was a huge let-down when I found out they weren’t bringing it back for a second season. Does anyone else feel this way?
I did some research and found out that this show was started as the “next Lost.” I didn’t really watch too much of Lost, but what I saw of it didn’t make me think of Flashforward. I don’t think the two TV series were supposed to be alike, but I think producers were trying to bring out another show that was just as popular since Lost was going off the air soon. Originally, there was a five-year plan for Flashforward. They had everything planned ahead of time. Supposedly the ratings dropped, which is why the show didn’t come back. I also heard that ABC, the channel that took on the new show, didn’t want to host the show for a second season. I also heard the show wasn’t airing a second season here in America, but that it might air in other countries.
I’m not sure exactly why the show didn’t come back. It made no sense to me since everyone I talked to absolutely loved the show. Please share your thoughts about this show.

Although they never made a second season of the show, some of the stars have moved on to other things. Joseph Fiennes for one is going to star in a new miniseries for either Showtime or Starz this year. I don't have either of those channels though. I don't know about you.

I figured that's why they pulled the show off the air before the time for another season rolled around, due to the low ratings. I guess I'm wondering why the ratings were so low...my husband and I, and all of my family seemed like they enjoyed it. I tend to assume because I enjoy something, everyone else should - LOL! But that's not always the case. People must have other tastes in general and like to spend their time doing something else or watching another type of show. I just thought it was a shame. I've moved on to other shows like 24 (even though that show has ended after eight successful seasons) and The Event. I also like Chase and No Ordinary Family, but I don't know that those two will be around for much longer. I don't have Showtime or Starz that I know of, but I can always get shows on Hulu after the fact or Netflix. Thanks for the info about Joseph Fiennes! I think he's a great actor and did a great job disguising his accent in FlashForward.

You have Netflix? Starz usually shows their series on Netflix only days after they originally air. So when Joseph Fiennes new show premieres later this year, you are almost guaranteed to be able to watch it on Netflix the week after it first airs. You don't have to have Starz, you only have to have Netflix.
Chase got canceled, and it looks like No Ordinary Family is going to be canceled. But there is hope for The Event! You might want to e-mail NBC and tell them how much you love the show. They have a contact page on nbc.com. Sometimes you can also do a search online and find "save my show" campaigns. They may be doing petitions for The Event to ensure a second season.
