Are you on a strict sleep schedule?

I think over the years, my body has been trained to get up at a certain time and then go to bed at a certain time. Now granted, there are times where both boundaries can been pushed. However, for the most part, to bed at a certain time and up at a certain time. So do you have a strict sleep schedule or is your sleeping schedule all messed up and erratic and you fall asleep and wake up at odd times?

Hi,
I don't have a strict sleep schedule,but of course, I tend
to sleep early on weekdays as I need to wake up early in the
next morning.Only on weekend, then I will stay bit late to do my
work. That is when I can have a peace time to do my own things as my
son has gone to bed.
However, I try to get enough sleep everyday,at least 7-8 hours a day.
It helps me to stay healthy and I won't feel tired the next day.

Getting enough sleep is a good thing. Seven to eight hours is a good time. Of course, its hard for me to get to that certain amount of time, when I don't get asleep by a certain time. Still it is much easier for some people. So there you go. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I've been trying to keep it regular because our bodies are designed to have a regular sleep schedule. When you mess with it then you end up with a higher chance of getting a bad case of insomnia. I hate insomnia, so I've been fighting with my college schedule to keep my sleep habits strict and regular. I hate falling asleep at random hours and getting up super late. I know it's what college kids usually do, but I don't think it's healthy.

Yeah really we don't think about this too much earlier in life. However it can really have some drastic affects on you. The body needs to be on a certain schedule in fact for it to work properly. That is why getting on a strict sleep schedule is something that I really attempt to do no matter what. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

A good solid six hours of sleep on a regular schedule is really good. If nothing else, it is about as much as one might need to recharge. At least it is sufficient for me. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I envy you, megamatt. My sleep schedule is erratic and I can't seen to train or discipline myself to follow a regular pattern. I know I should so I would gain a little more weight
or wake up fresh. Sigh. But I still would make attempts to sleep earlier than I do.
Have a nice day ahead.

I think it is not really easy to have a regular sleeping schedule. You really do have to start early on in life and pretty much train yourself up to that point. At this point, if you can't train or discipline yourself, it is unlikely that you ever will. It is unfortunate, but I have seen so many cases. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

i had a slightly relaxing schedule for my sleep. Obviously in the morning i had to be up early enough for work. At the weekend though i would sleep in as normally i would still be recovering from the night before where i had been out drinking. During the week at night it varied on when i went to bed, but normally the difference would only be for about an hour as i knew i needed my sleep to br refreshed for the working day afterwards. Again at the weekend though this changed as i only got back home in the early hours of the morning. A few years ago i stopped going out but was still busy as i had the introduction of my son being born and me looking after him as i am a single parent. He kept me busy when he was a baby, my sleeping schedule altered rapidly. Many changes had to be made. Now that my son is a bit older i am back into my old routine, just obviously need to get up that bit more earlier to sort my son out before i go to work, but still have a lateish night so don't get that much sleep.

I do think that children do add that interesting twist to even the most organized sleeping schedule. No personal experience but I know people in real life that do have that personal experience. They are resigned to not being on a sleep schedule for a few years. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

It's not that I really keep a strict sleeping pattern, but I do sleep mostly by 11PM and wake up at around 7AM. This is because I have to finish all the household chores and put the kids to bed 1st and then have a chitchat w/ my husband while having coffee. Then up by 7AM to do everything all over again.

Yeah a lot of the time, it just really does fall into place nicely. We tend to get into a routine. If that routine does get broken for whatever reason, then that could problems. The same goes with sleep, if that goes out, then our ability to deal with other responsibilities in life do as well. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
