My sons addicted to pepperoni

My three year old used to be such a good eater until he tried pepperoni. Now he doenst want to eat anything but that most of the time. Today I made him vienna sausages and instead he wanted pepperoni. I offer him oatmeal, peanut butter and jelly and all different kids of things but all he wants is pepperoni. He eats so much of it that he seems to get acid reflux from it at times.
Do you or your kids love pepperoni that much? I've never actually eaten it. I've been a vegetarian since I was 7 and 20 years later I've still never eaten pepperoni. When I was young I thought it looked gross so I wouldnt try it then I stopped eating meat all together.

Kids are funny that way. They discover some food, and all they want is that same food over and over.
My 4-year old son is just getting over the mac 'n cheese. For the past few weeks, there was nothing that he would eat, morning, noon, and night than mac n cheese. But like he is getting over it, I'm sure your son will get over pepperoni too.

My kids used to love homemade macaroni and cheese but all they will eat now is that gross macaroni and cheese out of the box. The macaroni and cheese that I make is so much better I wish they would eat that. Its also much healthier then the macaroni and cheese they eat but oh well I make what they want. I'm their short order cook lol.

My nephew was addicted to those pepperami sticks when he was the same age as your little boy. He probably still likes them now but not in the same quantities. He's now 21 lol.
I reckon this is a phase and he will grow out of it..when I don't know but he will!

So far its still his favorite food but hes picky about the type lol. He only likes the regular sized pepperoni by Hormel. I bought him these little mini sized pepperoni by Hormel and he doesnt like them. They are so cute though I thought he would enjoy them but nope hes my picky little guy.

He just wont eat good for me in general anymore I guess. Tonight I made grilled cheese with tomato soup and I also gave him some turkey. He ate one bite of the grilled cheese and wouldnt eat any of the turkey and then told me awhile later that he was hungry. I cant remember what I got for him after that but ugh its so difficult finding him something healthy he will eat.

Why do kids love pepperoni? My son also loves it ever since he tasted one when he was 4. Now he only eats pepperoni pizza. Serve him a pizza with other garnishing, he'll remove all of them and leave only the pepperoni. The good thing is he just loves pepperoni when it's on a pizza. He still loves eating different types of food.

I always buy just plain cheese pizza since my son is the only one who eats meat out of the three of us. So he hasent had pepperoni warm on pizza yet. I will have to try putting a few pieces of pepperoni on a pizza before I put it in the oven and see if he will enjoy that. LOL I might be doing myself more harm then good because maybe then he wont eat plain pizza anymore and hes already eating enough pepperoni hmmm..

Hi Shaggin,
Not that sure but yes, I love that pepperoni pizza too. The reason I see and think might be a reason for the addiction is the tangy taste these pepperonis have. My nephew, though not into this yet, but he has his own preferences and loves to have tandoori chicken... everytime, he can have his go, he wants some of this and here too I think the spices and the condiments come into play

Before this he was eating turkey and hot dogs and chicken but now he doesnt want to eat that. I can offer him pretty much anything and he will ask for pepperoni instead. Its hard getting him to eat anything else. I dont think pepperoni is all that healthy so its probably not that good that hes eating it all the time. I hope he grows out of it soon. I've never heard of tandoori chicken.
