What should I do fight against sneaky creditor

I got a consent judgment 6 months ago from the local county court, and I agree to make a payment plan every month to the creditor and trying to get rid of the debt as fast as I can. On the last 2 payments, I, first make a $1,000 payment toward the balance, but it seems that creditor only apply $700 toward that balance. They shouldn't charge me any interest or fee, and it seems that balance went up. On my second payment, I make a $250 payment, and they only apply $130, and the balance was went up too. What in the world they are trying to pull here? I called them and ask them, and no one really give me an answer for it. What should I do? What other legal actions I can take to fight against them? I am just out of my wit's end. And it is no way for me to keep up a payment like this.

Do you mean that you owe more now than you did before the payments? Did you get a contract or agreement papers about the settlement? They should have your rate of interest and other information there. If the creditor is charging more than your agreement allows, you can take them back to court, or at least threaten to.

That is what I intend to do. They are so sneaky about it. They shouldn't charge me interest or anything like that. The agreement only states that I should only pay the principal amount.
