Diet cookies?

I am on a new diet but I love to bake for my family. I of coarse eat too many of what ever it is I bake when I do hence the reason for the diet. Is there any one who knows some substitutes or recipes or even brands that I can make yummy cookies that are not too over indulgent for my diet? I have fussed around with my Chocolate chip recipe as well as my oatmeal and they are working well but I am tired of them I like to switch it up more then just two kinds or cranberries instead of raisins you know?

I've never made "diet cookies" though I know there was a place in Milwaukee that was a cosmetic surgery ect that offered the "cookie diet". But it certainly would be nice to make home made cookie diet cookies.

I remember there was a cookie recipe for substituting the sugar with apple sauce. I don't remember how exactly to make it but it was chewy and good too!
