My son returned to school today.

It has been such a relaxing day. I have been able to get out for a bit. My son had surgery the beginning of February and was able to go back to school today. We have basically been stuck at home since the end of January. I had surgery then, and then his. He is in a wheelchair all the time, and due to weather and the surgeries we have been stuck here. It was good to get out and do some errands today. I hope his day went well. Do you have days that you are glad to be alone?

Hi. Thoroughob. It is good that your son is doing well now. My kids have been sick for almost a month. And so have I too. I had to stay at home with them when they were very ill. I could not stand seeing them so sick and ill. I was kind of glad that they were home. I did not want to send them to school feeling ill at all. They were able to rest and get well at their own pace. They are feeling so much more better now. I hope that your son will too. My husband had to get a tooth removed last year in December, he was in bad shape. He managed to get around and feed himself. I helped him, but he insisted on getting the strength to do for his own self.

Yes he is, He went to school for 2 days and then the weather was bad. He is supposed to be going back tomorrow, but he sounds as if he is coming down with a cold.

I'm so glad this is all done and behind you both! Now that spring is near, hopefully you won't be stuck in there much longer and with the flowers blooming, that should bring a smile to your face. How are you feeling these days? Did the surgeries help you and your son? I certainly hope so! As for being alone, heck yes! I love it when I have a few hours to myself. Hubby can drive me insane sometimes. lol He's a good man but can drive me nuts at times. Do all husbands do that? lmbo!

I am glad they are done too. Mine did help. My son is in a cast, which will come off on March 18. From there, they will give him a boot or a walking cast. They corrected his foot the best they could, which was 75%. They said it should be able to be corrected with orthodic shoes. If they corrected it any further, they were afraid the stress on the foot, would cause the bolts to break. Hopefully it will bring good results.

There are the days when I am Glad to be alone and want to just relax and not have to worry about anyone or anything. Some of these days I even find myself sleeping in a little bit more and just finding time to do more things I really enjoy. Lately for me that is coming down here in myLot and posting away to help relieve some of the many stressors happening in my life as well.

I am always happy to be alone. During my child raising years I sometimes wished for more alone time but now I've had no one around for 3 years, my adult sons are 1800 miles away and I would love to have people in my house but that wont' happen. I'm seriously thinking of moving back to where my sons are and get less alone time! If the housing market wasn't so bad, I'd sell and move as soon as I could.

I would want to be close to family. Good luck in what you decide to do.

I don't really get any "alone" days. I do know about being shut in with a son in a wheel chair though! It's real refreshing to be able to just get outside and take him on a walk. I get out in the mornings to run though and that helps. We have been pretty much shut in for the winter until the last week or so! Glad things are getting better!

I can't wait until it is nice enough to get outside! I wish I was a bit closer so that I could relieve you for a bit. It is nice to just get a break for a while.

Since my husband and I are both out of working, I do not get days alone very often. I love it when I do. Tomorrow he is giving blood, and I am not, as I have a cold. I will try to make good use of the time.

My dad retired, and my Mom complains about not having time to herself. They both need it, but don't do much without each other. I ran some errands, and went and had my haircut, that was long overdue.

Your question has hit the nail on the head for me. I have many days where I wish I was alone, and soon it will happen. When my husband goes to work early in the day and my kids are in school. I can finally get up and actually clean my house. It's been really hard to clean when he's in the bedroom sleeping because he has to work at nights, and I can't clean after he leaves because by then my kids are sleeping. Plus, if I want I can lay down and take a nap if I want to, and nobody around bugging me to do something. I'm a quiet person and love a quiet home, hard to do with 3 kids (including hubby) 3 dogs that doesn't understand that they are capable of doing things themselves (minus the dogs of course).

Hi! It has been quite a time, but getting better. I do know it can really go from one way to the opposite, and neither are good. I would really miss them, if they weren't around too.
