This made me feel good about my choice to just drink tap water over filtered water when I heard this news about 10 minutes ago. This is the reason I decided to drink just tap water to begin with. The study suggests it can help alot more then I would of thought. Still, I have concerns about tap water as healthcare workers are required to flush unused medication down the toilets I guess in hospitals and or nursing homes. This has caused small amounts of drugs to recently be discovered in detectable levels in the drinking water not to long ago. Its strange how water treatment facilities can make sewage water clean enough to be drinkable, but they can't get drugs out of the water that's required by law to be flushed. Why put the drugs down the toilet to begin with then? Why even waste the medicine? Why not just save it and give it to people who can't afford it. This is kinda similar to grocery store delis where workers are required by law to throw away all the food they don't sell at the end of the day. Why not give it to charity? I guess law makers are too paranoid and overly cautious about what others might do with the medicine or food. Still, I know if these laws were changed they could help many who are having money problems as well as problems finding a job. I could even help the government reduce costs which their striving to do more then ever. I will discontinue drinking water from the tap if drug levels continue to rise in them. Although the drugs are at traceable levels, their in such small amounts they wouldn't or shouldn't have an effect. I delve deeper into this topic more then I intended to. I guess it turned into somewhat a rant, lol. Anyhow, Happy Mylotting

What kind of filtration are they talking about? I can understand if they mean soft water, or water that's had minerals filtered out of it. If they're talking about filtered water that has no fluoride, I would be questioning the source. I think that filtered water can be healthier than tap water, but it depends on the water!
I agree with your rant. :) Why can't they remove medicine from our water supply? They supposedly remove everything else that's damaging to our health. We are such a wasteful nation, such a wasteful world.

Who can we believe?
