Staying Alive against Zombies

This is a cool question my niece asked me when we're watching High School of the dead. Maybe some of you already thought of this but it doesn't hurt to ask right? If ever the world is going to end with zombies around, what measures are you going to do to stay alive and still a human? I swear if the zombies that'll ever roam the planet are too slow that I could outrun them I will. And I'll make sure to keep mum and stay silent in case their around. If the zombies around are like the ones in High School of the Dead that usually relies on the sound than the smell and sight then I think I'll have a good chance of surviving. I'll go to a convenient store first pack up my truck with supplies and go to a gas station for gas supplies and make sure to be always on the road and looking for the safest place to hide. I hope theres a place like the one in I am Legend Movie that people can go to if you're not yet infected!
