Proof that there is no correlation between money and education in schools.

In Wisconsin, the county with the highest budget has a dismal education track records. With a 5% reading comprehension rate in Milwaukee High Schools, 75% truancy rate and even with their bargain basement academic standards, only 45% of the high school students actually graduate.
All for the low low price of $1.2 billion.. which comes to $14,000+ per student.
But then again, if only 45% of the students actually get anything real from the budget, it's more like, $31,460 per student.
Now, teachers and administrators of public schools.. what could YOU accomplish with $14,000+ per student?
I would bet a lot would get accomplished, but the quality of education at your schools probably wouldn't improve much.

Hmmm...
A classroom of 30 students would have 420,000 to play around with. Is that per student per year or per a student's entire education?
If it's per year, that's ridiculous. You could pay the teacher and buy each kid textbooks, supplies, and a used car with that much money. Probably driving lessons too, since you'd get a deal buying that many cars at once.
Sigh.

That is pathetic....There are inner city schools with lower per capita ammounts for student education, doing a lot better on educating their students. Is it the cold winters or something...are they in brain freeze? Too much cheese causing hardening of the arteries at a young age...what is wrong in Wisconsin?

Well, in the case of Milwaukee, it's just the entitlement mentality. For the last 2 decades all anyone in authority can say when asked what needs to be done is, "we need more money".
