Are You An Organized Poster?

What I mean by this is when you take time to post here on myLot are you one that just comes here when they have only a couple of minutes hoping to earn a little bit here, or are you one that sets aside a certain amount of time whether in the morning, afternoon, evening each day just to post here. And when you do, you have in mind how many discussions you are going to start, respond too, etc. and even have some of the ideas wrote down on a sheet of paper etc? Personally for me, it often depends on my mood more than anything else. As well as the amount of time I have to be active in here each day as well. I know I definately go in spurts, but sometimes due to life, and working Full time it is hard to find time to come here. But there are times when things are a little more stressful in my life than others that I find myself coming here and posting away knowing exactly what I want to talk about that day while many other times just come here and see what catches my eye instead. ~~TINA~~

In the beginning when I just started myLotting, I was literally addicted to it. I enjoyed reading and responding discussions and make many friends here. However, as time goes by I tend to visit less. I normally will response to the topic that catch my interest. Normally I logged in to myLot via my email, therefore most of my response are to friends discussion.

Well I think we all go thru spurts here when we post and the amount of time we have here to be active as well. I know that lately I have been more active than I was most of last yr. I think overall because I have allowed it be a Stress reliever for me again this has become a Great place to be again.

I don't think I am an organized poster. Though I don't post too often but when I do I will post anytime when I want to. I am in my drought season now for not having posted anything for quite a while, but I do make my presence felt here by responding to others. At least I am not totally out of touch with mylot.

Good to still see you on here my friend. I know we all go thru spurts here, and many times it is just to occassionally post back to some discussions here, and other times to start a Few New discussions ourselves. I truly can relate with just wanting to make your presence felt here.

I only come when I see something that catches my eye. I used to try to start a specific number of discussions a day when I was home but since I'm working, it just doesn't happen that way. Like I'm sitting here outside of Walmart, killing time till my boyfriend gets off work.

Well, I do not have a phone yet that I can do myLot from. I can actually upgrade I think anytime now, and would really Love to have one I can post in here from, and do other things from, but will have to wait to make sure I have the money to do so as well. So I come post here from home any extra Free moment I can find which sometimes is not much.

Whenever I log into MyLot I never have a plan. I just take a look what's happening around the site and go from there. Usually, I do have a discussion in my head waiting to come out so I type that up first. I never use notes as I'm used to writing in a diary so I have no problems relaying what I have in my brain into MyLot. Each day I do not set a goal as I know I would not enjoy the site if I did this. I tend to use my instincts and yes, my mood does affect the way I post or the frequency. Sometimes, I do find a little break helps too. This is why it doesn't stress me out when I'm at Mum's because it makes a change being away from my computer for a few days. It isn't good for me being online every day of my life lol.

Yes, for sure... Moods can mean a lot when posting here, or choosing to start a New discussion. I too take a break from time to time to catch up on other things or just to enjoy time with my husband and friends as well.

Yes, in the past I have been one who spent a lot of time on Facebook, but lately it does just seem like a place to gossip, and who wants to know who kissed who, or when a fight breaks out, the language some people use is unreal as well. Glad this place is far from being like this for sure.

I think the Facebookers should do that as well..take breaks. What people "say" on there can be hurtful if taken in the wrong way i.e. if one is in a bad mood whilst surfing the net. Fortunately, I don't use Facebook as I wouldn't want it to consume my life. Got better things to do..like chat to you for a start!

I think that in general I am a very organized person. What I do is I would never start a discussion and walk away from it unless of course there is an emergency. So in order to do this I will only post a discussion when I know I will have the time to respond immediately to the responders. I do see where some post discussions and maybe not come back to it until a day or two. I have seen 3 weeks later too. I suppose what ever works for some is great, but my thinking is that if I post a discussion, which normally I get many responders, that if I continue to respond immediately back it goes back up to the recent discussion tab. This affords the discussion yet many more responders. Also some of my responders leave room for furthering the comment box, so I find if I reply right away they still have the discussion and quieries still fresh and the discussion carries on further. I suppose I treat my discussions the way I do people offline, because I would never start one and leave them to talk amongst themselves and then come back a few days later to ask for a refresher. I do understand that at times some members do not have the time and can't come back to it, that is fine because they always come back to them anyways. The only reason I do mine my way is because I do not start a daily one either so I do not have many to have to tend to. Where as some members start several and it would be impossible for me with the number of responses to keep up with more then one discussion would drive me insane. lol

Well, a lot of times I try to focus on my friends discussions sent via Email and see what I am interested in responding back too, and then will check out my interests and see if there is anything, my friends lists, etc. A lot of times it really depends on the amount of time I can devote to here as well.

I failed to mention also that I do start with my email notifiers and if something grabs attention then I will sign in to myLot and read the responses before I post my response. Depending on time then I move over to the new discussion tab and see if something grabs my attention. Which usually does.

I'm not sure I'm very organized when posting, but I certainly line enough time to spend here on mylot. And I always make sure to check again all the discussions I've responded. In case there is a comment to a post of mine, I try not to leave it without a response since it would be disrespectful to the person who paid attention to my post or comment. I'm not sure I haven't missed someone but I'm really trying to be correct to people who respect what I've said.

I do not take time to check out all the discussions usually that I have responded back too unless in an email there is something worth wanting to respond back too as well. But with discussions I have started like this one, I make sure and take time to try and respond back to them for sure.

I like to come to myLot every day for a few hours and read through all the discussions that come in my e-mails and makes responses where I feel I can add value or give advice. And then there are some discussions where I can learn some things too. It is great to be able meet so many poeople from all over the world and learn about different cultures. _Derek

Yes, there are many times some of the discussions I find myself responding back too, are from the Emails I get, but I do not let that limit me from finding New active members in here as well. As I am also interested in many different types of things and enjoy meeting people from all over the world, not being too selective for me gives me a broader range of things for sure.

Mine depends on how much time I have on my hands...I stop everyday and at least answer my friends' discussion...but if I have more time I'll respond to more..and even start a discussion or two..with spring coming and tons of projects in mind I'll probably won't be starting too many as I like to answer all my responses! But I'll be here everyday if possible.

Yes, I know I have a lot of things coming up in the works as well so there will be days I may not always be as active as others. But I do appeciate taking time to come and respond back and start New discussions as I can for sure.

I should only do a short period of time for the sake of my hands, esp. would be better if I was every other day. But sometimes I can't resist. It depends on what is going on in my life.

If I have spare time on the internet I tend to answer a discussion here and there whilst I think about what else I have to do. I certainly don't set myself any sort of targets.

Well, that can be true. Especially as busy as I have been this month with other things going on in my life as well. I know though that when I do find more time to be active here helps for others to know that I am still around here as well.

not really organized. i do it just like you. whenever i see a notification in my email, i decide if i want to and/or have time to go discuss things. if im wondering about something or want to share, i come to mylot to share and or get help with something or to help out a friend if i see the post/discussion i can do.

What I hate is thinking about wanting to start a discussion here, and then being side tracked and wanting to hit yourself for forgetting what you were wanting to post about.

Can't say I'm organized. However, when the thought for a discussion comes to me, I do my best to be around to respond to those kind enough to join in. Occasionally, just as I post a discussion, I get a call that I need to leave home. Just as soon as I get back, I make sure I sit down & take proper care of my discussion!!! I'm one of those people who speaks from the heart & with much passion, so my thoughts aren't that organized when I begin to write. I zip through what I want to say...then I go back & reread to tweak it into hopefully making some sense...then I read it again for typos & any other problems I might catch!!!

Well I think we can all relate with this. Especially when you have to head out right in the middle of wanting to post in here and then hope you will still have that train of thought and mind set when you get home as well. I do agree that speaking from the heart and organizing your thoughts some when doing so leads to better discussions and responses back in here as well.

When I first started with MyLot I posted every day several times a day. Then after a while I would visit occasionally. Now I have a daily routine and I try to come here and post every day. I do not post at a certain time I just try to make it every day. I also try to post at least 5 times per day. Most days I get more than 5 posts in but I try to sit my minimum at 5. I am trying to earn more money online and being organized is one of the keys to that!

Yes, being an organized poster in here can really help for other things in life as well. Also gives you encouragement to see your earnings going up each day, and knowing it could help you in other ways as well.

Yes, the Email notifications are nice. It does help me catch up many times with discussions that I might have missed, especially when I am not on here. I also am trying to get all my discussions now resolved if I can which is going to take a lot of time, but giving me a lot of time to spend in here in good ways. It also helps in organization for this way as well.

Since I work at my computer all day, I'm here all day on and off. I'm kept busy responding to my friends' discussions so I don't start too many of my own. I'll occasionally think of something that I think would be interesting to discuss so I do post discussions at times but for the most part I'm in and out all day with no organization or reason to it.

I can relate with this one, and a lot of the time here is spent responding back to others discussions instead of posting something here as well. I know that occassionally things will happen that encourage me to want to start a New discussion here, while other times posting back to others is good enough as well.

I do not set aside time each day. I get to it when I can. Some days I have more time on my hands. Some days when I do not have to work, and have caught up on my school work, I'll find myself bored so I have more time to respond to discussions and maybe start a few. Other days when I'm pressed for time I will probably ignore the discussions in my e-mail and certainly won't start any.

Understand this one, as I am sure that many are like this. I know for example the other day I did not really post in here and knew this site would continue to be here when I could post again. I know we do get busy with other things, but Glad there is a place we can continue to come when we need too.

i too comes here and participate in the discussions depending on my mood. some times, even if i wanted to be here, my mind speaks the other way. and there are times that even how much eager i am to get on here, there are some more important things to do or when zayzay gets hold of the laptop enjoying his power ranger movies on youtube.

I've never been interested in My lot for the money. I joined cos I loved going on web forums and thought it was neat all my favourite interests were conveniently stacked in one place - one log in, one password, cool! I work from home as a journalist, so between assignments like to get away from the desk. But if I need a water cooler moment this place is the equivalent of the tea room where I used to work. Waste time having a natter, then back to the grindstone. That's why I tend not to start discussions - I never did at work. I joined in with my own thoughts after the topic got going. Typical Cancerian ...

Some interesting thoughts here. I think actually some that most people can relate here with as a lot of times when I come here I sometimes have a topic of interest I will choose to start a discussion in, or find other discussions like that to talk about, or I come in here to just relax and see what else is around here to talk about as well.

I am a 'spontaneous' person. I hardly plan when I logged into myLot here. I will see and response to the topics that friends started which I can relate to and catch my interest. It is really fun and I really learn a lot when I read through other myLotters responses. It is a way to learn and relax, myLot is a great place to be.

I think personally we can all relate with this one, as there have been times that I have tried to concentrate ahead of time on things I would be interested in talking about here, and then other times I just post what appeals to me the most.
