Individual issues

I am confused. I do not know what could come under 'individual issues' which are not allowed here. Could you kindly give some examples. If for example I am worried about my pet and ask a question about the ailment my pet suffers could that be considered individual?

When the guideline says don't "Start discussions on individual issues you are having with myLot...", it can mean a problem with your account or a payment or even a deletion that you don't agree with. Basically, they don't want us to start discussions about things that other myLot members cannot possibly resolve. If only myLot/admin can fix or deal with the issue at hand, it shouldn't be made into a discussion :)

hi allknowing as far a s I know only discussions about a bone you have to pick with mylot over something or a flaming kind of discussion about another mylotter where you use the person's user name those are not allowed. I see lots of discussions here about our pets and our problems with them and there is nothing wrong with that kind of discussion at all, but call it discussions not questions as this is not a discussion site'
not a question and answer survey site. a lot of the best quality discussions are invidual issues.People are interesting and we love
to respond to those who love cats and dogs and take great care of
them.but do not make a discussion telling about a problem with mylot
as thats not allowed you are asked to take problems like that to
mylot admins via personal message. Also never mention a user by his or her username and especially if you have a grievance against that person instead send the person a private message. hope I have helped ossome.

Now I got it. It is mentioning names that goes against guidelines. You have explained it beautifully

Mentioning names is one thing but 'an individual issue' does not always require names to be mentioned.
Check the response below too for another explanation.

I read the guidelines now and I think you are referring to the 'individual issues' stated there. I thought it refers to the issues of members with my lot for their payment problems or some discussion issues. Sometimes, payment does not get added up or issues of the sort may refer to this clause.

Oh !I see what you mean. But, recently I posted a discussion that was strictly an individual issue .I am not aware if it is a violation. Probably, if some name is mentioned in the course of the discussion and some unnecessary arguments or illwill arises , it may be slightly unpleasant isn't it allknowing! THat must be considered a violation. For example, if I start a discussion about some problem encountered and someone responds quoting another example [with names ] and this person[whose name has been used as an example] happens to see it and takes objection--this rule may be a safeguard.

That is clear kala but why should a topic which is of general interest is considered to be a violation solely because an individual's name is mentioned?

I think discussing about pet is not violation of any guidelines. You will talk about pet problems in general, I suppose.
