Well we are still waiting for the Puppies to appear, they should have been here the latest Monday just gone but nope like their Daddy, they are awkward and do as they please, tonight my Friend and I will take Roxy to the Vet to get her checked out and make sure everything is ok, which I hope desperately, she is fine in herself and is not in any Discomfort
Actually 2 Days ago, she was cuddled up to me on the Settee, asleep with me, Gissi decided he would lie on top of me and I was trying to sleep, eventually he decided it is not comfortable sleeping on Mum and cuddled on the other Side of me, an hour later I woke up and found I had no blanket, Roxy is digging away at the Blanket that she had pulled of me, I asked what she was doing, well she just came up to my Face gave it a little Lick as if to say, Sorry Gabs I need the Blanket, then went and laid on it
Then Gissi jumped up and laid on it with her, looked at me as if to say, do not think about taking it away Mum, which of course I wouldn't
The thing is though there are 4 Blankets here 5 including mine, and they had to go for mine I mean why my Blanket, she has so much to nest with here lol but no we want Auntie Gabs Blanket
So she is fine in herself but we want to make sure everything is ok so we are still waiting
As soon as they arrive I will let everyone know, of course I will settle Mummy and Babies first, and no doubt I will have to settle Daddy as well and explain to him that his quiet Days are over for a while, that he is not to teach his Children bad habits, that he WILL do the Night shift and not wake me up, also he is not to teach them the barking and shouting he does and not to have the last word like he does
Do you think I will get through to him lol? Me no I don't believe I will

Hi gabs and the parents to be
I am wondering what Gissi is feeling right now... I havent been a parent yet but I believe that he would be eager to see them around and would be waiting to cuddle them... Patience dear... I know I lack it but hope you have loads of it
You have maybe a few more days to play around all by yourself but I hope that the better days would be near and quick... when you can play the Daddy and re-live with your kids around...

I've heard that parenthood changes people.
Maybe it'll have the same effect on Gissi.

Hi Gabs, I have been away for a long time so I am a little out of date with the latest news. Is Gissi going to be a dad? How exciting! There is nothing better for the soul than puppies and kittens. They are such a gift! Are you planning to keep any of the babies? You will have to post pictures when they come along; I am so thrilled for all of you!

Daddy dog is who I assume you are referring to....and in that case, no I don't think you will get through to him LOL
You are so good with your pets! I wouldn't even have any idea that it would be past time for the pups to be born. I'm sure I would notice a change if my pet was in discomfort.
I look forward to photos once those pups are born!

hi gabs oh my and here I was getting all excited too. but it will come. I will pray she is fine and her and daddy Gissi's kids will be just fine. As for getting Gissi to change, well as my grandpa used to say might as will spit in the wind, it will just blow back on you. lol.not sure what h meant unless some people cannot be changed as they am themselves and there they will stay. well gee we probably would be all sour if Gissi turned all quiet and never made any trouble. lol Nah you just are not
going to get through to him at all.

from hatley. I am getting better with my knee day by day and found the nicest podiatrist and she is going to get a referral so I can have new shoes and a brace. lol lol lol.

Hiya gabs,
Oh so she is having Puppies then? How lovely gabs. She wants your blanket to know what it feels like to be a new Mum because you are a Mum and you needed comforting like we all do and so I figure that is just what she needs comforting.
She was trying to tell you that in her own words I think that she was saying "come on Mum you know what it´s like to be a Mum first time I need to feel warm and safe".
Of course she left the other Blankets behind because she needed that special one of yours as she is probably needing to feel good about being a new Mum as she is not too sure how it is and all that.
As you are her other Mum she gets comfort from that sound like she is knowing that the Babies will come soon then.
Maybe you could get the last word with Gissi I don´t know each Puppy is different just like us they all have their little Characters don´t they just like Gissi. Imagine having four or five little Gissies running around the House at the same time. Well I hope some of them are like Roxy too nice and gentle and good. Well Gissi is a good little fella too are´nt you Gis? He says to me yes and wagging his tail to me as well.
Hope they arrive safely then and Roxy does have a safe delivery of them as well. Fingers crossed for all of you.xxx

'Morning Gabs,
I hope everything is OK with Roxy and the puppies and I can't wait to hear the good news.
I don't think you need to scold Gissi because, from my experience, adult dogs tend to run away from the little ones, especially when they're too young to know the canine manners. Be ready to prepare a nice, peacefully place for Gissi, a place where he can hide when the little ones will chase him for a play. He's an old guy and he won't appreciate so much attention.
Once again, I wish everything will be all right and the puppies will arrive soon and will fill your houses with joy.
