Wisconsin Democrats.. Extortion is NOT the same as Boycotts!

Mindless minions of the public unions are calling for boycotts of businesses here in Wisconsin. Any company that donated money to the Walker campaign is being targeted.
To boycott is the right of anyone, and I have no beef with the people who are choosing to not do business with any company for whatever reason they choose.
However, extortion is not the same as boycott.
Where is the extortion?
Police, fire, education and other public union leaders are writing letters to the targeted companies. They are giving them ultimatums. If the company agrees to denounce Walker and support the unions, then they will call off their dogs. If not, then they will be attacked.
This is criminal!

You are right it is not the same as a boycott. Remember the Union attacks on Walmart and it seems that a Union Boycott is a badge of honor. I would love to know what companies they are going after and I will support those companies.
To see how Unions really support each other just drive through the parking lot of a GM plant. A majority of the vehicles you see the employees driving were made by non union companies and a large number of the union made vehicles were made by competitors.

It didn't used to be that way. It used to be that if someone worked for GM, they not only bought GM vehicles, they also tried to talk all of their friends and relatives to do the same.

Yeah, the parking lot of the union hall here in Sheboygan is full of SUVs, mostly foreign.

Really, Ted, you have "no beef with the people who are choosing to not do business with any company for whatever reason they choose"? Why then did you call them "mindless minions" before writing that...lol?
I think "extortion" is one of those words that is overused and misused. I'm going to play the "devil's advocate" here, although, unlike you, I don't think union leaders or members are necessarily "the devil"; I don't think there's anything illegal about what they're doing. Let's put it this way: they could simply call for the boycott and hope enough people followed their lead to make a difference and leave it at that. If someone donated to Walker's campaign the damage was done and can't be undone. However, they're apparently not doing that, they're giving these businesses a second chance and all they have to do is denounce Walker to have the boycott against them called off.
I've heard many from Wisconsin who had supported Walker have already done just that and have said they didn't expect him to do what he's doing. Many have said, at last according to what I've seen and read, they wouldn't vote for him if they were given another opportunity. All the business spokespersons have to do is say something like, "We're sorry we donated to Governor Walker's campaign and don't agree with all his actions. We value the business of union employees and their families and friends."
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree because what you see as giving them ultimatums I see as giving them another chance.

Extortion has a meaning and is a real crime... and it's exactly what the mindless minions are doing. You can sugarcoat it all you want, but it is what it is.

I would be ashamed to be a fire fighter or police officer or teacher today. What horrid behavior.
You're right. There is a huge difference between boycotts and extortion.
