I think I did this in middle school. One of those books where you ask a different question on every page. They were a very cool way to get to know people. I know you also wrote things like who you liked or who you didn't like. Things like that sometimes caused problems. And sometimes bad questions, hence why it probably got the name "slambook". But it's fun if they stay clean and not to personal.

i wrote on a friend's slambook and i even got some when i was still in elementary.... it was fun and you can learn a lot from them and it can serve as remembrance of those people you knew way back then and the past things that run into their mind the time they wrote in my slambook.... reading these discussion makes me think my past slambooks and what i wrote in it, i was thinking who i wrote as my crush that moment and what was my dream and even my favorites way back then :)

I guess I had the wrong idea on what a slam book was. I remember in middle school we had a very bad slam book situation. Even before I was able to write in one or make my own a few kids got detention and we were banned from making them. This is why I thought they were not good!

No, they were not around when I was in school. I do not like the concept of slamming people anyway.

I would never want to have anything to do with a slambook. Even the name sounds bad. It can really devastate people when bad things are said. Even popular kids get bashed. I don't see the point of being honest anonymously. If you wouldn't say it to their face why would you write it anonymously?

I know they can be bad but they can be fun too if done right. Just to get to know others like your name, favorite color, favorite movie, on each page something good. Not a slam book per-say I guess.
