They have set a run date for the next episodes of Torchwood!
July 8th!
Guess I'll have to add on Starz for a while...
Ah, what I will do for my Torchwood fix!

Are you a Torchwood fan too? What do you like about the show?

Ooo...one of my favorite pieces of eye candy. I'm reasonably sure Skiffy will pick it up eventually. And of course, it'll come out on DVD, too...but I guess if I were as big a fan as you are of the show, & I could afford it, I'd sub to STARZ, too!
The plot certainly sounds like a good one! It's been the topic for books & films before, but not in the way I know Torchwood will deal with it. It will be nice to see the cast back in action, but, is this the entree for more shows to follow, or a one-time thing? I'm crossing all my digits it's the former!
Thanks for the heads up!

Ah. Well, I suppose I'll just have to polish up my patience button, then, won't I?

I grew up with the "Original" Doctor Who show, and have only caught some of the reinvented ones-I haven't seen any of the Newest "Incarnation" of the Doctor..I haven't seen a lot of Torchwood, either, but I'm pleased there's a successful spinoff -and I was tickled to discover the Name is an Anagram!

I don't know that I'd call myself a fan, as I've only managed to catch a couple of episodes and don't know the back story, but it is interesting. I take it their leader is an immortal?

well, he's not an immortal like Highlanders
When Rose took in the Eye of Harmony in the TARDIS, and then The Doctor took it in himself, when he regenerated everything on the space station came back... well, at least Jack came back... and doesn't seem to die
There's hints that he's the Face of Bo too

Well, according to Highlander, you have to lop off an immortal's head to truly kill them.

Thank you for posting this!! The last I saw was Children of Earth, the last episode and I thought oh no, they won't make any more Torchwood!
I watch old episodes on BBC America.
I wonder if BBCA will have it? I'll have to look and see, because I get that channel for free.

I saw a mention of it on BBCA so my hopes are high!
Hey, can a cat have a cold? My stray, Clyde, is all stuffed up and miserable although it hasn't affected his appetite. He's lost weight but that could be because he's not come around much the past couple months. Any ideas?

I am looking forward to the new series, although I am not sure how it will turn out, I am worried about it becoming too Americanized and we only have two of the main characters left. But from what I have read the new series does sound good. I like the show but I would rather them go back to stand alone episodes even though Children of Earth was brilliant. I would like to see them pick up on some older storylines and characters, such as Bilis Manger, I think there is more of his story to tell.

OK, I am not THAT big a fan then as I don't watch Torchwood. To me Capt. Jack was just another character in Doctor Who and never did it for me.
Are you watching it and does it meet your expectations?
