Set 'em up, Joe...

I was in so much pain last night that I decided to take some tylenol and go to bed at 9:30, and was asleep in no time. But. A scraping noise woke me at 10:00. A neighbor was trying to dislodge caked on snow and ice from her wooden porch with a plastic shovel... Eventually she gives up and I go back to sleep. But. Car doors slamming at 1:00 outside my window... okay, back to the arms of Morpheus. But. Argh! This itch! So... what brings you here at three in the morning?

Fortunately, I have very quiet neighbors!!! So my 3:00am wakeup call is usually a potty break & just can't get back to sleep. When I have one of those nights where sleep eludes me, I just get up & come to myLot, or I go to one of my favorite news sites & read about what has happened since I went to bed, or I check my emails, or I pull up one of the games I have on my computer & play a game for a bit. In no time, I'm yawning & ready to go back to bed!!!

well I have had a howling cat for an entire month as you know. Cats are always hollowing in my back yard. Since my bedroom is in the back of the house this basically is all that I get in terms of noise.

she seems to be okay, but she goes back to the vet for a blood test tomorrow to see what is up, if her platelets have returned to normal or not.

Well, there have been many times when I have been in here posting at 3 a.m. in the morning if I am not tired yet. I work the swing shift at work, so there are nights where it takes longer to be able to wind down to where I am ready to go to sleep to where I find myself on here posting still just trying to relax. Sometimes it seems like it takes forever to wind down for sure.

Your health problems probably make it hard to relax, too.

My bladder! Although it was 3.30am so I got an extra 30 minutes on you. But then I couldn't sleep. We are going out tonight and all I want to do is go to bed! Ho hum.

True. I should have done because it was very dull. We came home early.

Thanks for your good wishes. Some of yesterday's pain (like in my neck) is gone but I have pain in new places this morning (right arm). I curl up on the couch and after a while my knees start to ache. Ain't life grand?

How aggravating being woken up like that! I wonder why your neighbour decided to scrape snow at 930 at night…I’ve had nights like that and when I eventually get to sleep the dog will start scratching at the door or my husband will start snoring again! It seems that when it is particularly important we get rest all sorts of irritations will stop that from happening!

It was actually 10pm. I think she works shifts, and probably just got home.
