Here in our place in Kerala in South India, cotton clothes are mostly cheaper than other clothes and also better quality is got. But usually the most demanded pattern is Kasav that is traditionally demanded. Kasav saris and other dresses are mostly demanded by the tourist people, as they are much cheaper compared to other places and better quality clothes are got here. Still I do feel much comfortable with cotton clothes. Hand weaved clothes too are demanded mostly saris (a traditional dress of India). I do like the designs of those hand made clothes. I do also prefer other clothes if its price and quality are satisfied.

Are you saying the 'Kasavu' materials are cheaper?
I don' think it is cheaper. Cotton is always costly because it is suitable to any climate. In fact cotton is the costlier material in this place especially the summer is nearing. If you are getting cotton in cheaper price, it is very good.
