isnt it cool to see the telephone booths got leveled ups too? now you can also surf the net, not just make a phone call. if you need to check your email you can just find something like this. is there something like this on your area already? i just saw in on the news the other day and it was on shanghai china. i am not sure if there is something like this on our area, but it sure is cool to see something like this.

It sounds good. However, perhaps you have to insert a phone card so that you can take advantage of the wifi usage. Because if it is a free wifi, you shall just use it when you are around. So I don't understand why there should be such kind of booth there.
I love China

I am actually trying to think of where I have seen a phonebooth lately. I can't think of anything except for the mall. Usually people already have a cellphone and can surf and call or text people from there. I think that phone booths are getting to be obsolete here, so I'm not sure that we'll see a wifi booth here. Of course you can go to mcdonalds over here to get wifi, and some other classier restauraunts as well.

your response made me think when was the last time i saw a phone booth. well at japan there are still a lot of telephone booth but here in the philippines... yes there are only booth at the mall. inside the mall there is a place that is also wifi so there is no need to find a telephone booth but it is just cool to know that the telephone booths got upgraded too. thanks a lot for the response.

I dont think it its going to make much difference the number of people that use phoneboxes will keep on going down. This is because almost everyone in the western world has a mobile phone and these things can be done by on smart phones either with 3g internet or wifi in a cafe or something.

true, i guess almost everybody all over the world not just the western uses mobile phone, but it is still good if there are still phone booths specially for emergency purposes when you dont have batteries (example only) like in japan after the earthquake there were no electricity so they rely on phone booths to call relatives. it was cool that at japan they still have a lot of phone booths around. the older people uses phone on phone booths too. thanks a lot for the response

Telephone booth? Where are they? I haven't seen one in years, they are a thing of the past. If you want to make a call or surf the net, use your smart phone. I remember phone booth's but now I can't believe people actually used them. They were filthy and disgusting. Thank God for technology.
