Wrestlemania 27 in-game

hello to all the wwwe fans out there.
going to start an in-game for wrestlemania 27.
missed the first match which was between edge and alberto del rio for the world heavyweight champion. really surprised that wrestlemania 27 started with a championship match. to think that alberto del rio won the royal rumble and the royal rumble winner headlines the whole event, alberto del rio starting wrestlemania 27 doesn't make much sense to me. anyway, like what i said, i missed the match but heard that edge did win the match and retained his belt. afterwards, he went on 'destroying' alberto del rio's car.

I do find it kind of amusing but mostly sad that Alberto Del Rio won the biggest Royal Rumble in history and then said it was his destiny to main event Wrestlemania 27. Well his destiny appeared to be competing in the opening match at Wrestlemania 27. Now don't get me wrong, it was a good opening match and it was perhaps a good idea to put it in this point, but still the Royal Rumble winner who is supposed to main event Wrestlemania, appearing in the first match, I'm not too sure about that one to be honest with you.
Now with that being said, as I mentioned, this was a really good match all things considered. It might have been my second favorite match of the evening behind Triple H and the Undertaker. The post match stuff with Edge destroying the car was good. Likely setting up a return match of some sorts at Extreme Rules, where maybe Alberto wins the title. And Brodius Clay is the man, I do find it amusing that the runner up of NXT Season 4 is getting on television every week, while the winner who was supposed to get a tag team title shot is missing.

first off let me say that i find your thoughts about wwe very insightful megamatt. really happy you found time to post here in this thread.
as for the match itself, i'm on the fence about it being the very first match. i mean, it is a title match and i would expect it to be right smack in the middle or perhaps even before the taker-hhh match. come on, snooki mixed tag team match right after the hhh-taker match and just before the cena-miz title bout??? just doesn't make much sense to me right now after watching the whole thing again. i just think that over-all wwe could have done better with the match scheduling for the night. anyway, i really think that alberto del rio can be a good heel if he isn't yet. the arrogance, the mic skills, and even his in-ring skills are waaaayyyyy better than some of the others getting the push from creative. i think it was a good showing for both edge and del rio. in my mind, i think del rio was 'put over' by edge even without del rio winning the belt. just my humble opinion. would love to see del rio winnign the belt from edge in extreme rules like what you mentioned. things are definitely looking up for del rio moving forward. hopefully, he doesn't burn out as fast as sheamus.
on to other things... would love to see both christian and brodus clay back in edge's and del rio's corner in an extreme rules match. also, would love to see christian play heel and stab edge in the back and switch sides to del rio. that would be a classic, edge versus christian. yes it has been done before but i think with edge playing face and christian playing heel, it will be different this time. can you say tlc match between these two? as for brodus clay, the guy is a beast!!! wwe can do a lot of good things with the man of that size. the guy has the personality to be a really good heel. he just needs to improve his in-ring skills and develop a strong finishing move and he is primed for the big time.
