hi friends. i bought one of the cheap korean version of N78 and got a 512 Mb memory card free. surprisingly that phone had no issues for almost 18 months. just a week ago,i was downloading stuffs in my mobile phone through mobile browing when my phone suddenly switched off. when i turned it on,i found it is not showing my memory card at all. all i see if my phone memory. i took the memory card and tried it another mobile but it still didn't work. more confusingly when i tried to put a new memory card,my mobile didn't read it either. finally took the not working one and connected with computer through card reader. it showed the removable E disk but showed 0 memory. even tough it looked the memory card is over,it had some of my personal milestones in the form of pictures and videos. just wondering if there is any way to save my memory card or atleast the datas?

Next time you get a memory card, pop it into your computer once in a while and save the contents to your computer. As far as that one goes, there is a software you can try for free that might get some of your stuff back. It is called CardRecovery. The software is not free but supposedly you can try it for a while for free.

It's always good to have a backup file for all your date incase if the need arises. You can't retrieve your data, if the memory card has been corrupted. Next time try to have a backup memory card or files.

wow...nice phone dear friend.... I like the brand... anyway I have heard this kind of problem several times...last time just two weeks ago a friend of mine was facing same kind of trouble... so I have 3 solution for you....here it goes... 1. first switch off your mobile phone take out the memory card and..switch on the phone again..go to menu--settings---restore factory settings---restore all if you have not change the pin yet..just use 12345 as a default pin of nokia mobiles.. now switch of it and put your memory card and switch on again...now let me know your problem is solved or not? N.B.:take back up of your call log before doing this action.(it may be lost) (and scan your memory card separately.. 2. If the the first one doesn't work for you take your mobile connect it to your pc using pc suite and data cable..in nokia mood then update your phone software.....it also can help you to solve the problem..try it 3. if the above two solution fails...go to any nearest nokia store and give it to the servire center for repairing.. hope it will solve your problem...
