I saw the ads on television about bringing your receipt or ads to Wal Mart and they would let you have the item for that price advertised in the add or with the receipt the meet or beat the others prices it seems to me why don't they just lower the price anyway? I have only seen one person take other store adds in Wal Mart and actually doing it, It seems like a lot to go through just to get the price that the other stores have for a cheaper price? Wal do you think? Do you just go to another store or are you so mad that you take the other adds and receipts to Wal Mart? What are your thoughts on this?

Walmarts here are actually cheaper then most other retailers. If I plan it right I can make it to Walmart but I do have Target and Kmart closer so it makes sense to go to them then try and drive further, spending more money to get to Walmart. So this will not really be a savings for me, unless they lower their prices more, lol

We don't have a K Mart here anymore we used to have one we do have Wal Mart, Target,Kroger,Albertsons and Aldis and I have found that Kroger and Aldis have some things cheaper than Wal Mart, Those stores are all in a close range of each other but last Saturday I went to Wal Mart and spent $70.00 and when I got home it seemed like I really didn't get much!

That's the boat I'm in right now HWG! They moved to the other end of town it's closer for me to go to Target, K-mart, Farm & Fleet, Menards, and 2 other grocery stores to go to them. They also raised their prices so I'm paying probably close to the same price as elsewhere now & I'm saving gas getting there. jahernandezrivas- Yes Aldi's is cheaper on most things compared to wal-mart here as well. Yes, another reason I fear WM you spend that kind of money and you walk away with not as much as you thought. Another reason we do not go belong to any of those Wharehouse clubs cause you buy say a few items but they are all like $10 ea and you still have other things to buy.

It seems to be the idea/gimmicks with these stores. They know that if they lower some items they will draw in the customers who then will spend on other more expensive items. Truly a rip off. *sad* They know exactly how to get us. We have Aldis here too and although still cheaper they are going up on their prices also.
