What do you look for in a person when you choose her/him to be your friend?

I usually give anyone a fair chance when it comes to being friends. I am not picky. If they seem like someone I would enjoy hanging out with and talking to, then I will be friends with them. Friends that are shady usually show their true colors in due time, so until then I am nice and friendly to everyone.

hmm i would have a chat for few mins...and analyse that what kind of a person he is and then continue....politeness is the first one

I take a step back and see what their values are, how they think about life, etc. I guess I'm kind of like you, I look for someone who is kind of like myself. lol - if that makes sense. I'm not saying I wouldn't be friends with someone totally different - but it would be easier to hang out with someone that I have a lot in common with.

The first thing is honesty and do I feel comfortable around this person.

i take many thinks in consideration, like nature, character etc,etc.

i look for people who are friendly and those who love and respect their friends.
