...and I will be on a long vacation.
Starting from Maundy Thursday up to next next Thursday, I will be on leave from work and of course here on myLot. This will be my longest vacation from work ever!
Oh, how I love to be gone for some time, away from my stupid boss and irritating officemates.
I will spend first the first three days of my vacation in our home with my boyfriend then after that, we will go straight to their hometown (in Ilocos Norte, Philippines). It's my second time to be with his family and I had a warm welcome on my first (though feeling nervous to meet my future in-laws that time
). I'm expecting a very enjoyable vacation this summer time. Well, I hope so...
How about you? Are you going to have a long vacation too this holy week?
To those in a relationship or engaged people, have you tried to spend vacation in your future in-laws place? How was your visit then?

I just came back from a 2 week vacation in Aruba. I went in March and although part of the tan has worn off, I am still relaxed and with that aftr vacations feeling. I live alone now and many times I also travel alone. This time I traveled with a friend and a couple of her friends. It was an interesting experience because they were all young people.

Maybe it took us around 12 hours to reach Aruba by air, with a 2 hour stop at Bogotá´s airport. I´m 65, my friend is 28 and her friends were from 30 to 45 years of age.

I know how you feel because our vacation although not really soon, is in August and for a full month. We go every summer to Arkansas to the home of my boyfriends mom. We always have a blast because we spend each and every day outdoors up in the mountains.
I love row boating, fishing, swimming and scuba diving, all of this we do for free there so we take full advantage. As for the visit to my boyfriends moms house, it is great because we get along very well. She cooks for us daily and won't let me lift a finger, she truly is a great woman and one I adore.
No plans for marriage anytime soon, but not needed, I love her like a mom and bother siblings as if they were my own.

When I was working I was able to work via remote log in, so while everyone slept I woke up really early and worked online. To a sense I was really working but such a nice deal that many times,
I was sleeping and missed the call. But yes I love them all dearly.

You have full-month vacation? Wow.. I wish to have it too.
My stupid boss won't permit me that long.
You have a hectic vacation indeed and I know it's really enjoyable especially the scuba diving. I haven't tried it though because I still don't know how to swim.
As your "no plans for marriage", it's not bad. Marriage is just for formality's sake. It's good not to get married yet as long you both enjoy each other's company and most importantly the in-laws.

Thanks!
And also welcome to mylot, 1348...!!!
(I can't complete your username.) hehe
Whew! I'm not actually sure if we're going to a beach.
It'a 12-hour ride from my place, so obviously far that's why I'm a bit excited.
Summer is really enjoyable. I hate too much heat though.
Happy mylotting!
