Heartache or Heartbreak: What's the difference?

There is always a difference between two synonymous words or actions. However realizing the difference takes time and comes in ways that trully shock you to the core.When you realize that you are experiencing a heart "ailment" the situation results to knowing who you are as a person. Personally, when an acquaintance of mine backstabs me I feel hurt but my normal routine still remains unbalanced i felt my heart "ache" but when a friend of mine does the backstabing I cried for nights and my lifecycle was unstable-my heart "broke". Heartache and heartbreak are two similar yet different conditions you can differentiate by the intimacy(personal value)shared by you and the person who wronged you. Isn't it?
