Memory cards and camera makes

My first digital camera was made my Olympus and it worked with XD memory cards. It was a present from my ex-boyfriend. It was a small digital camera and it took up hardly any space in my handbag.
My second digital camera was also made my Olympus and it worked on XD memory cards too. It was a bigger digital camera with a fantastic zoom on it.
Then I bought a Fuji camera and have it still in use nowadays. It can take XD memory cards. I believe it might also be able to take SD cards. Now in the shops no more digital camera seem to take XD memory cards. I have got many XD cards and worry what will do when my digital camera breaks.
Which make is your digital camera?
What sort of memory cards does your digital camera have?
How many digital cameras have you got through by now?

If I have an option,I'll choose a gadget that takes removable batteries-I can always use rechargeables, and if stuck regular batteries can be used...as for memory cards,sd cards are fairly generic and are widely available..I'm not 100% on the compatability of the newer sdhc versions, though. I'm only on my second digital camera ever at the moment..my first was a gift, but I chose it with my card and battery preferences, but as time and experience showed,it ate batteries and was so slow to start up,a snapshot opportunity would often have passed before it was ready..the current one is a cheap and simple 5mp one using aaa batteries and sd cards.

I'm using my cellphone camera too,as it has a 5mp camera on board, and I'm seldom without it,whereas I wouldn't always have the camera handy..but the standalone camera would score points on the cellphone as its flash is better..

I don't know exactly how many digital cameras I've already gone through, but I recently got a second hand Canon Rebel T2i. It is a little bulky than my previous camera, but it does take great pictures. Specially successive ones.
I didn't really buy the memory card that I know does not come with a brand new T2i. But the previous owner of my camera just threw in the memory card as extra.

As much as I LOVE photography, my camera is an old Canon that I bought years ago. I have tried to buy better cameras and none of them compare for the quality. Yes the new ones have more megapixels and all that jazz, but I have yet to find a one that takes a better PICTURE.
SD Cards all the way. One BIG reason I don't use Sony is their proprietary Memory Stick and it looks like XD cards are going in the same direction as well. In fact there are new Sony cameras out there that use both the memory stick and SD cards. I would think it comes down to the speed at which you can record to a fast SD card and new cameras being able to capture in High Definition video.
I have gone through a lot of cameras since 2003 when I got my first digital camera. I carry three of them now (one is very compact, one is an old one for backup, and one is the one I use that takes the best pictures).
Thanks

Mine is an Olympus. It's the SP-320. It takes the xD cards.
I'm on my second digital camera. I got it back in April 2006.
My first one was an Olympus as well. I've had it for the past 8 years or so, I think. Yep, I still have it, but it's my husband's now. LOL
Happy mylotting!

My first digital camera is Fuji S304 and therefore I use XD card. Later I bought Fuji S9600. It has an improvement because you can use both XD and CF card. XD card is small and its transferring speed is fast. CF card is bigger and it doesn't transfer as fast as XD card but I can't really tell there is a big difference between them. CF card is cheaper and therefore it is good. So right now I have two memory cards inside my digital camera. The XD card is 2GB and the CF card is 4GB. Namely I can take 6GB photos and videos. So most of the time it is enough for me:)
I love China

Hi Maxine, I have a Canon Powershot G2, haven't got a clue what memory card it uses but it holds 400 pics and is 1GB before that I had a Fiji one but not sure what that took but know it didn't hold so many pics. So in answer to your question only one my second camera now, prior to that I was on old film cameras. huggles. Ellie :D
