My last vacation was a backpacking string from Camiguin to Cagayan do Oro and finally Bukidnon. While at Camiguin, I was enthralled by this beautiful Katibawasan Falls, and really got mesmerized. I thought that I could stare at that majestic sight forever. And then, I remembered TLC's song, Waterfalls. What does that really mean - the phrase "Don't go chasing waterfalls"?

Hey that sounds lovely and fun. I can only take a guess and say perhaps it means like the streaming never ending. In other words chasing never ending dreams that don't actually lead anywhere.

Yes! The trip was a lot of fun, we went to a lot of places and did exciting fun activities. I guess, yes, the song says that about not chasing dreams that lead to nowhere. That's especially intended to the young ones who could decide irrationally and impulsively and which decisions they could regret later on.

hmmm.. that's quite an idiom. probably meaning 'dont dream the impossible dream'? or 'don't dare what you cannot surely do'? my guess.

Yes, that may be right. Especially if you take the meaning of the song as a whole.

Hi, gloryacam My guess is that we should not go after flashy, dangerous things with total disregard for the consequences. I have seen Cagayan de Oro and Bukidnon. Bukidnon is beautiful, don't you think? I have not been to Camiguin and someday I hope I have the chance of seeing the island. Backpacking is fun! Cheers!

Hmmm...maybe so, that's why it says "please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to..." but, wouldn't that be terribly boring? Hmmm.. Yes, Bukidnon is beeeyoutifuulll! And so is CDO and Camiguin! Our country is beautiful. Period. We did the zipline at Dahilayan resort and wow, the view of Bukidnon from above is really amazing. Breathtaking! Visit Camiguin. The island is enchanting!

Yes, those are really beautiful places. Mindanao is verrry beautiful. You have to see it one time. I love waterfalls. There's something really majestic about them. I haven't seen the waterfalls you're referring to. Maybe I'll ask my friends if we could visit them sometime in the future. Have a nice...evening ahead!
