but it has been a while though
I am visiting my Son and Daughter at the moment and I am in between travelling from my Daughters and my Sons home lol
Well on Wednesday I was at my Son's
I went to go in the Kitchen and I was on my Feet one minute and on the floor in the next in severe pain, I had slipped, do not know how but I managed it, my Son come running out to me, he gave me my Inhaler as he could see my breathing was bad I then had a funny turn I thought I was going to faint, everything was going black and turning, my Son carried me through to his Bed and said if it was not over in 10 minutes he would take me to the Hospital, well it sorted itself with in 5 minutes, Gissi was lying with me on the bed
My Son was worried but he did well and not panicked
Well I have now a swollen knee, a bruised Finger and bruises on my left thigh and hips
As I always say, I never do things half I always go for the whole lol
Yes I am in Pain and aching but will be just fine, apparently the reason I went strange was my Oxygen was on low because I was in shock and panic
Well I mean, one minute I am on my feet and next I am on the floor in agony and don't know what has happened
My Son thinks that I slipped but of course he can not say for sure, he said I did scare him though, I am so happy though that he did not panic like he used to when my breathing used to go bad
It certainly hurts though lol I rather a trip where I do not get hurt
So has anyone else been on a trip like I was hehehe?

Oh wow, that sounds painful, do you know what happened? Did you black out or something? I hope you heal up quick, bumps and bruises don't feel so good...The last trip I had was probably over a dog, but I don't think I got hurt, just frustrated..lol

Good Heavens gabs! It's a good thing your son was there to care for you! Wow. Yes, I've fallen something similar to what you did and I hurt my shoulder and hip and my arm was in a sling for about three weeks. It happened so fast that I barely had time to turn enough so I wouldn't break my leg. Hope you feel better soon!

I know a couple of times when I was delivering newspapers, there were times when I would turn the bag around in order to fill the other half and I would find myself on the ground after having the bag cut off the circulation to my head. Once the pressure was off my neck (after falling), everything was ok, but it was a bit embarrassing and I figured that I needed to be more careful when turning the bag around. I'm glad that things turned out ok for you, but if it happens often, you might still want to get it checked out to make sure there isn't some hidden issue causing the problem. Take care of yourself!

Fortunately this was several years ago and I don't do that type of work any more. I just hope you don't have any more episodes like that. I would find it very scary unless you know that it is going to happen.

Hi gabs! I'm just glad that you're ok. I fall all the time and
have hurt myself pretty badly on some of the falls! I broke
my foot, shoulder, dislocated my knee and sprained the one
another time! I am always doing something! I fell so many
times on my butt I had a blood clot the size of a peach pit
the surgeon said! Yup, had to have "butt surgery"! I am just
very clumsy and do get dizzy on occasion which doesn't help

Gee whiz Gabs, so sorry to hear about this. So glad that it wasn't worse and also that your son was there and you weren't by yourself. He did real good with not panicking, he probably realized it would make it worse on you. You have a good boy.

Nope guess I am just as unlucky as you and if I had to face any more pain that what I am in not sure how I would turn out lolol

I wish more that the Doctor would do something to stop your Pain
My Pain is nothing compared to yours and what you have been suffering the last few months

Oh no. Poor you Gabs. I hope that it all settles down soon. Apply ice to the swelling. I was doing my exercises the other day and ignored something sharp that niggled my foot. Then i went for my shower and could barely stand. I found a thorn embedded in my foot! It took me ages to extract it and was in some pain for the rest of the day!

Oh no P1ke I imagine that was very sore as I have done something to my foot when I was 10 years old and I still have the mark on my foot lol
I decided to jump of the Sandhill outside our block of Flats and landed on a rusty Nail which went straight through my Foot lol I got a sore butt as well for doing it my Mum was fuming with me lol but wow it hurt so I know in how much pain you will have been xx

hi gab s oh my are you alright? Isn't that the worst feeling,one moment you are walking and wham down you go.I can understand that the shock and pain would really make your breathing horrid. I am so glad you had your son running to help you and brought your inhaler. When I had that fall for once I had all sorts of help. But the plump little lady who passes out the water glasses was there first with a big bunch of paper towels. My right knee got it too.I did not know either how my fall happened but I think it was some water on the floor.Yes me too, I fell once before at our apt complex but i just sat down on my butt and only had a few bruises. I am sure you are really hurting too as I was and of all things I burst into tears. I fell face down and blacked both my eyes.boy was I an ugly mess for several weeks. I am glad for you that your son did not panic as that sure never helps anything.So I hope you did not break any bones and just hurt your knee, I just took a pain pillfor my knee a few minutes ago but its finally almost gone away the pain I mean. Hi, gabs....It's good to see that you are still in one piece. I fell the other night after one of our thunderstorms/tornado warning incidents. I had to chase down my recycle bin that was blown into another lot and stubbed my toe when I stepped back up on the porch. I ended up with a skinned knee, bruised elbow and a rib or two that were bruised that are still giving me a bit of bother. I figured if I'd broken the ribs I would have had trouble breathing. I had to give myself a little sermon to be more careful as I'm not a spring chicken anymore and the old bones are more brittle now.

Thanks, gabs....I think I've recovered for the most part. Still a bit of soreness in rib area but only when I'm lying flat. If there is a next time, I'll pay more attention to where my feet are being planted. I hope all is well with you now, too.

Not for a while....right before my trip last year I fell down the steps and hurt my back and side! The pain was so bad at times it took my breath away. I did it two days before I left for vacation and it was very difficult to sit on the plane etc for the three hours I needed too! Hope you are feeling better soon! Hugs!

I think you might have blacked out and fallen, it doesn't sound like just a slip. I want to say you were on my mind a lot yesterday, I even went to your profile to make sure you were still active here. Not that what I was feeling means anything, but I do often suddenly have thoughts of people I know just out of the blue and then find out later they were under stress at the same time. So here is a prayer and Blessing for you.

Hopefully it isn't something medical causing it like low blood pressure. That happens to me sometimes. I just loose my balance and sometimes I think it might be something medical because sometimes I have a real close call in falling but I catch my self because I go blank for a little while and that makes me about fall and then if I come too before I fall I catch myself.Sometimes I think that is what happens when I do fall is that I don't come too until I already fell since that happens sometimes to me. I don't know, sometimes things can be such a mystery.
