There is just way too much discussion on TV and even here on myLot about last night’s presidential announcement that I thought I should get in on it. In terms of discussion, at least. It just seems like there is an overwhelming feeling of relief that I’m sure there have been high-five exchanges everywhere. Question is, after last night, did you engage in any high fives? Have you ever known such a death which would elicit a feeling of relief and wanting for high-fives. I know it is wrong to talk ill about somebody who’s already passed, but I think I’ll make an exception for this one. What do you think?

I didn't high five anyone. My sister told me to turn to a local channel, I heard the news and was numb. My first thought was , can the Armd Forces come home now? and Then I went back to watching another show.

I was hoping that this could be the start, and the reason all the armed forces could start coming home. No reason to lose more lives overseas. Or families to get separated for that matter.

I was actually probably one of the last people in America to find out that Osama had been killed. I will admit that I watched a little bit of television on Sunday night, but that was only for the hour between 8-9 when Amazing Race was on. After that was over I was onto the computer playing my games and posting on here and basically in my own little world. It was nearly 1 am when I heard the news and that was only when my mother-in-law called me and casually dropped the information in conversation.

Didn't CBS pre-empt Amazing Race? Because I was disappointed at first when I was getting ready to watch the show and saw that there were news people at every channel. Good thing they still aired the show in its entirety after the announcement. Thanks.

Maybe Hitler and/or Stalin, other than that, I can't think of any that made people here so happy...

Oh yeah! There is those two. I think the spontaneous cheering of people are worth it. Even the high fives among family. Just the relief knowing that his gone!

I didn't do any high fives..but there was certainly a sigh of relief. He has kept everyone anxiously awaiting his reapperance for quite some time now.

I think that was the biggest thing! If he was still up and about, there would always be that nagging feeling at the back of our minds that he would show up one day. And when he does, it's always not good. Breathing is a little bit easier now.
