The speculation is over. Obama's Bin Laden "bump" wasn't quite what his supporters might have hoped. No 60-70% approval rating awaited the president.. just small bumped anywhere between 1 and 9 percentage points. I remember when he could accomplish that with a simple speech and smile.

I thought the same thing. And I was going to post on it, but someone beat me to it.
It is something isn't it, all the while Dems saying 'he can't help it that BUSH left him this mess...and we pointed out he kept many of Bush's policies in force, including as we see now, the war on terror. Ironic that his biggest coup during his presidency was the result of something BUSH started.

I was pretty sure Obama would milk this event for all he could. However I think most Americans realize this has probably been years in the planning. This awesome military coup had to have started the planning before Obama stole the presidency. IMO it just happened on his watch that is all.
I will give Obama credit for at least having watched the proceedings instead of playing a round of golf or spent time conspiring with Oprah about his re-election plans.

I don't know but I heard Obama was dragging his feet.Hillary Clinton,James Gates,Leon Panetta, military brass took the ball and run with it.I agree President Obama will not get much of a bump because of the mess the country has been in the past couple of years. When President G.W.Bush left office unemployment for black people was 8.1% today it is 18.2%.I don't think race has anything to do with people being upset over the direction our country has being taken.

Well, those days are gone--people are struggling because of Obama's, Bernanke's and Geithner's policies and more have lost their homes, cars and jobs. Things are desperate and sure, it was a gutsy move to make and I applaud him for it but when people are financially ruined or heading that way quickly, he's not going to get much bump no matter what he does unless it'd good economic policy with results we can see quickly.
There are people that can't even feed their families without going on the dole. Can't anyone in DC see that or are they just willfully ignorant? That's my rhetorical question for the day!

Every president, even the ones not liked, has done something in his administration that is great, but what is more important, is what happens in his administration and his views. So if people; have good memories, and they realize that since Obama took office, gas prices have gone up, there have been roadblocks to oil producing domestically, and that the government has expanded, and that private business is being discouraged by taxing those who start these businesses and enabling those who are not productive, that this small victory will not help Obama.
The credit of course should go to the Navy Seals who risked their lives to get rid of that monster, Usama.

"ridiculous over our President just because he is not white"
Of course. If we disagree with his policies we're all racists. That's original.
"I respect youopoinioon so just respect mine"
You can't sit here and call people who disagree with you racists and then pretend to respect other people's opinions. You are entitled to this opinion, regardless of how stupid it is. I am entitled to my opinion that you are foolish to play the race card when you can't defend Obama's policies.

I thought Obama was going to be great for the country. I haven't really kept up with American politics, so I am pretty much taking the word of fellow mylotters as to how well he has kept up to his promises.
But I read a transcript of his speech after the whole Osama thing, and I was really disappointed how he made it all about him.
Well I got the intel and when they found out where he was they brought the info to me and I authorized the attack...etc etc.
Yeah, that's like my boss taking credit for it when a kid in my class learns how to swim just because she scheduled me to teach swimming lessons that shift!

i am very sure that obama's govt will take full credits in promoting their campaign.
sure this issue was being handled by former presidents since the twin tower attacks.
since long way has been crossed till recent laden's killing.
