AFP vs POVERTY

Rebel Fighter - it doesn't mean that rebels only goal is to oust the government. they have a lot of reasons and sometimes the government itself doesn't want to listen. if only they are given time and support and an honest person that they can relate their needs, our country can be better.

Army corruption, is one of the hottest topics in the Philippines today and let me just say that war is profitable but isn’t feeding and employment much more beneficial, the issue of these rebels that are now in conflict with the government roots down on the case of poverty most of these rebels are farmers illiterates and those whom are struggling to survive on their day to day live. But if you come to think of it if you fund this people for housing, food , education and employment they’d focus so much on these things than staying in the forest carrying guns and worrying every second if the military will strike at any time or them committing horrendous crimes against society. So the question is, which is more, building the people in society or fighting its lost members?

I choose, building the people in society. In that way, the remedy is long-term. Rebellion is actually an ideology that our government is not doing to improve their lives. If you kill a person believing and fighting for that ideology, the ideology still exists. If the ideology still exists, then so is rebellion. So, the solution is to prove that the "ideology" they are fighting for is incorrect. This is the reason why AFP is advocating and implementing "OPLAN BAYANIHAN". The program aims to deliver government services to far flung areas so that the people will realize that their government takes care of their welfare. Thus, we see soldiers assisting in a Medical Mission. We also see them in rescue mission. The list is endless but the point is our government and our AFP is doing something to eradicate both poverty and rebellion.

hi there so sorry to hear that happenning in your country, i always think that there is someone powerfull that is given financial suppport to rebels to keep fighting either the government itself or any other country to keep people thinking on that means bussy or scared, this benefits the governmemt because other countries give them money to fight, and the only affected is the residents, i hope some day this can get better
