Are there any more "real" journalists?

To me, today's journalists seem to be nothing more than just stenographers. Stories are spoon fed them by wire services and press releases... even the people in The White House Press Corps seem to just wait around for nuggets from Obama or the press secretary, as if actually "reporting" has become a nuisance. Is this just the same mediocrity we are finding in other professions? Or do you think there is more to it?

There are real journalists and you find them on the Internet. They are not trained journalists but people with a passion for the truth.
