Have you seen the commercial where People are content with their new tablet ,laptop and phone until they see there is a New type on the market? I keep wondering , Why are they So upset? Am I the only one who Doesn't chase the latest toy. If my first lap top hadn't died, I would Still be using her. I Still have the same t.v. I got in 1996! Hell , I Still use my VCR more than my DVD player! am I the only one?

Going in for the latest Gizmos and then bragging about them is indeed in these days. I will certainly look for something that is better managed but certainly not because it is the latest. Here where we live we have load shedding and everyone has what is called inverters that take care of ones minimum requirements when current goes off. I recently found out that there is yet another device - Home UPS - that does a bit more in that even computers work on it. So I have purchased one and I am very happy.

I am not so worried about the latest gadgets either. I do hae a newer TV, but that is just because my other one tore up..lol..I had that thing for several years..lol. The thing is that no one can really keep up on the latest..you buy something one day and the next, it is outdated. I don't care as long as I am getting the use I need out of what I have.

In you, I have found my technology sister! :) I had my TV from 1993 till a few weeks ago, when I got a new one. I still have my VCR from 1987. I bought an iPhone only because my old phone crapped out, and my laptop is an old refurb. I am not going to buy an iPad unless I win the lottery, and end up with more money than brains, and even then, if I buy one, I'll be content with the one I have. My camera was held together with duct tape, till it stopped working, and I bought a new one for $75.

Nope....I don't run out and get everything new once it comes out. My cell phone some people would be embarassed to carry around. It does the trick for me. I don't need a high priced anything to live my life...I don't need to keep up with the Jones's!

Exactly. I carry a cell phone but I don't use it! I hate phones. It is just for emergencies

Unfortunately, I have kids. And they are too much into these all new gadgets. And they have grandparents that give them new electronic toys at Christmas, and their birthdays. And they are also into online games, which they download from these electronic toys. So, they keep hounding me for the latest ones, all the time.
I don't give in (most of the time), and I hound them back with physical activities like thier martial arts, and baseball.

Grandparents are Suppose to spoil their grand children! I think you are doing great by making sure the kids get out and play.

Well...then you should have them...lol...I would get rid of the one you have now..use the money you get for it plus put a little with it and get the newest. I have to say that the Ipad is pulling at my interest a bit.
