I didnt sleep very well last night. I tossed and turned for two hours and then managed to sleep for about four hours. I did some washing before starting to work. I had lunch and then sat at the pc to work. Meanwhile, hubby sprayed the house on the outside against spiders and then he called me and asked me if I felt like eating some french fries. Of course I said yes. Theres this restaurant nearby that specializes in home made french fries!!! I thought it was very sweet of him. Ok I know FF arent too good for our health but we havent had any for over 6 months, so we're allowed lol. Do you find joy in little things like this in your every day lives? If so, please share some with me?

a view near my home office door... - my mom placed the potted whited rose near my door just a few days ago. now i have a view of the white rose while i'm working on my desk. :)
that is so sweet of him. :) yes, often it's the little things that create big impact. it's the little ones that make each nice gesture or kind thoughts seem much sweeter. my mom is never the sweet person. not a single soul can say that about my mom. hehe she's very strict actually. but i know there are times she goes softy on us and her grandchildren. there would be times she would come to my home office with some snacks, mostly sliced fresh fruits from the little farmlot. she then comments, "you're working too hard. have a break! :)" and then there would be times that she would arrive home with lots of potted flowering plants brought from an agrifair or from the local market. she really likes to garden. and recently, she moved the potted white rose near my office door. she knew i really love white roses and to see it while i look outside my window or thru the door is really so endearing of mom.

white rose - potted white rose in the garden
i know my mom is very caring and all. she just doesn't show it in words. she used to nag all the time while we were growing up. that's why i said she is never sweet. but i guess she mellowed over the years.

Oh wow, the white roses are beautiful. Well why do you say your mom is never sweet....she might not say sweet things but her actions speak louder than her words!! I can tell she loves you very much if she brings you fresh fruits and now moving the potted white rose near your office.....that is really sweet!! Thanks for sharing and showing me the white roses....they are lovely!!

I get this occasional ice cream cravings. Whenever I want to eat ice cream, I don't hesitate to buy me a cone but it should be a specific one. I always bought Cornetto. I don't know if you've already tasted it but it's like heaven in your mouth.

I believe it's a real skill to even notice "the little things" and a bigger skill to take them and enjoy them. I'm blessed with the ability to do this but when there is no-one to share with, the joy can backfire on you and make things quite sad. I hate that empty feeling when it comes along.

That is sweet of you. I'm not lonely, just wish sometimes that there was someone to share with. I would love to be able to share with friends here but my life is not that interesting. I cannot figure out how to write things and make them sound meaningful....lol. Like this morning, my little inside dog, wanted to go out but it's very cold. She had something to eat and rushed to the door so I let her out. Two minutes later after a lap of the front yard and a possible deposit she wants to come back in and when I let her in she makes a bee-line for the nice warm bed. It gave me a good chuckle but it's hardly worth a discussion.

Ahhhh I think it IS worth a discussion MT. I know about our babies wanting to go back to a warm bed. Mine is the same. So you see, you could have started a discussion asking if our dogs did this. Not too late to start one!!

Yes,the little things are very important.Like me,every day keep reading, and the fear of looking at only one page of a book, and I think also is very good. Now,in this era, everybody is very busy ,feel you don't have enough time, many people would lose,in fact, from small start with, will experience the fun of the life.

Not today, but for the past few days it had been sunny. And when it's like this, me and the kids go out near a school field. We just run around basically playing tag. Afterwards, we walk to a corner store and gets some slushy. These are the little things that I enjoy the most. Not too expensive but fun all around.

That was very sweet of him! I know french fries aren't healthy for us but my family and I love them as well. It is wonderful when even small things like that happen. When another person notes what we may be going through and takes the time to do something to make us feel better. I appreciate it when my husband does little things like that for me. Whether it's getting me my favorite pop or chips. Even when he may not buy me something but when he talks to me that makes me feel good.

A smile and a kiss a bunch of no reason these things are really so small at first but so much talk. A nice gesture to show us how much a person holds on us.It is important to appreciate these things. Many people do not appreciate these things. Not realize that this may make them happy.A little surprise can also make you feel special. Many thanks for discussion. Pleasant Day !

Nice to think about such events that make the life more beautiful. I like reading some interesting book, listening to my favourite music CDs, writing about the events I have recently experienced. Also some smile on the face of my little nephew can cheer me up and make my day brighter.
