How do you rate your expected salary?

How do you base your expected salary? How sure are you that is suitable with your skills? What do you also consider when you are telling the interviewer about your expected salary? Do you allow them if that is negotiable? Why or why not? I am basing it on my skills and to the previous employer. As much as possible it should be a bit higher compare to the previous employer. I also consider the allowance in transportation that is why I demand to have that kind of salary. Oftentimes I am allowing the negotiation regarding the salary depending on the company itself.

hi, i am not expecting high salary so much when i apply for a job, because the more you expect from your salary the more the company expect to your skills and knowledge,as of now i have above minium salary and that salary is already enough for me and for my daily needs.

Sometimes I forget about it when I asked high salary then the employers will expect something from you that is more. The reason why I am asking the high salary is that because if in case that they are going to lower it down then it wouldn't be that much low.

Thats true there are following things which are considered deciding your expected salary: 1.Special skills required for the job 2.Depends on the reputation of the company if company is better that the previous one then you should ask for more salary. 3.Location: It is the important factor which always effect your expected salary because as per location only you will decide whether you will have to relocate & what will be the transportation cost if don't relocate. 4.Last one is the working time/working conditions etc.

I am also particular with the accessibility as well because there are times that the place is not that easy access especially during rainy days that while you are walking you will be getting too wet. I've experienced that as well. Regarding relocation of course I can't still make it since I am not yet that stable to do that. Of course if I am just having a low salary chances are I am going to spend almost half of my one month salary just because of renting then considering your own meals.

I rate my salary on what the entry level starting pay is and then I go up from there based off of my skills and the amount of years I have worked in that particular position.

So meaning to say that is really basic? Do they ask you if it is negotiable or not?

Hello metatronik! I think it would be necessary to ask for expected salary depending on what are your skills and what have you experienced about the job you are applying for. It's not easy to ask that specially when you have not much experience. With that case, you just have no choice but to approve on what they are offering unless you have other companies to apply to. But in this times of unemployment rates and crisis, we just have to consider things we have to consider.

Yes, the compensation is determined after considering different aspects which includes the ability, education, experience, skills and many more. However, efficient and talented people would get better bargains and such a minimal group of people are always in demand and they will prove always their experties wherever they reach to. For me, I am here in the present job for about 15 years or more and ever felt of a change. The compensation and the increment, work environment, people around are so pleasing and I never though of a change of job once I got into the present place where I am working. Also, I am sure that I won't get a better bargain if I go for a change in which the category of work what I am doing presently. However, whenever we go for a change, we should assess ourself and should how much we are eligible to get based on our experience and skill. Finally, a pleasing negotiation from the individual and the company is the best suggestive solution. Thank-s Thank-s

So what do you work? And how does it feel working for 15 years already? Are you always transferring into another company?

well i base my salary upon a few parameters like the amount of work that they r goin to take from me.. the salary which the other Co. is offering with the same field job.. salary which my previous employer used to give and off course upon my thinking that how gud and effectively i can contribute to the job..

That is a good thought and strategy for making the demands of asking the salary.
