What a temptation

As some of you might know that I am trying to lose weight at the moment and I can honestly say, hand on my heart, that in the 3 weeks since I started my new regime I have not eaten any chocolate, crisps/chips, bicuits/cookies, cake or candy bars - none - not even a crumb or a lick!! Hahaha However, I went to give blood yesterday and usually after it is complete I get to sit down and have a hot drink and some chocolate. As I lay there I decided that I had deserved some chocolate and gave into temptation BUT they don't supply it anymore and they could only offer me a chocolate covered biscuit/cookie that the nurse had to dig deep in the basket of other cookies for. Then I told the nurse I was on a diet and so she took it back hahahaha. Phew that was a close one but I went back home with a big smile of my face knowing that I hadn't been tempted to eat anything else there and that I had given some of blood to a worthy cause! Have you given in to temptation lately? Is your will power strong?

Hello dear friend! Not preaching but you should give yourself a sweet treat at least once a week, totally banning forbidden foods will make dieting become depressing and more of a slog, if you reward yourself occasionally for your efforts then your diet is more exciting. I could never diet, that is why I go to the gym, exercise works for me, dieting doesn't. I crave foods too much to give them up totally. In my teenage years I went on so many yo yo diets none of which worked and my weight soared. I admire your self control and will power. When it comes to will power I just don't have it for food. I have good will power for other things but food is a weakness, especially my mums home cooking ha ha! Keep up the excellent work!

Hi ya wolfie Yes I know what you are saying but I just feel that I am doing the right thing and it does seem to be working as I lost 4lbs in the first two weeks. I think I will have to treat myself though at least once a week or else I am going to go mental and obsessed with food and i don't want that. Thanks for your response and encouragement my dear friend

They do say that losing on average 2lbs per week is a healthy way of losing weight, I used to hate hitting the plateau where you'd stay the same weight for weeks! I know you will succeed and thanks for the best response, very much appreciated! Keep the discussions coming. Wolfie hugs x

I've been on a diet for sometime now, and this week, I'm mad at my self because I gave in to each and every craving I had. I don't want to blame it on something, but I noticed that every week before my expected period, I just crave so much salty, sweet and starchy food. And this week is that week. I hope I get back on track next week.

Hi there gloryacam Oh yes the dreaded period before the period. I used to eat like a pig when I was in 'that' week but I have now got an implant in and that has stopped my periods and any effects of 'that' week, whoop woo. I think things would most definately have been different if I didn't have it and I would have found the temptation to difficult to handle for sure. Every time I go into the fridge I smell the chocolate that my son got for his birthday but I manage to shut the fridge door before I start salavating!! haha Thnaks for your response and good luck with your diet
