What is wrong with Arsenal?

Arsenal is one of my favourite EPL clubs. They started this seson promisingly. But, from January Arsenal's talented youth brigade showed their inexperience and lost ground in the title challenge. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger promised a goog transfer season. But, they haven't signed a single big name or experienced player till date. On the other hand if rumours are to be considered seriously they are loosing Fabregas to Barcelona, Clichy to Liverpool and Nasri to Manchester United. Even their transfer targets are also moving to other clubs. If they don't splash the cash now they will be hugely disappointed. Do you support Arsene Wenger's transfer philosophies because every fan wants to see good signings for their club. Think about it and share your thoughts...

Arsenal is only a few players away from greatness. Everyone knows they need a solid reliable goalkeeper, a pair of no nonsense central defenders, a strong, powerful destroyer and a goal scoring player in midfield and a striker who can give them at least 20 goals a season. How many times have Arsenal conceded goals from set pieces and how many times were a goal conceded due to a defensive error? Too many for a club who is chasing the title. They need a tall defender who will win almost everything in the air. Of course, they will need a goalkeeper who will command his area and not prone to the moment of madness. A destroyer in defensive midfield who will not be a push over. While Song is rather good in this role, he seems to be rather clumsy and always give away free kicks in dangerous position. They will also need a goal scoring midfielder to supplement the strikers. During their glory days, they have the likes of Pires, Ljungberg, Overmars, players who will guarantee double figures. The closest they have now is Fabregas and Nasri. But as the season prove, they falter in the run in to the title. A striker who will put away the chances that they style will create. No more beautiful and intriguing build up only to have no end product. Van Persie is very good but he is too injury prone and he is not your typical 20 goals striker.

Yeah..you correctly pointed out what Arsenal needs at this moment. But, their main problem is they are hesitating to invest in the transfer market. But considering the recent price hike of the footballers you need to invest more than 10 M for almost every half decent players. So, they are loosing their targets.

Wenger seem to be changing his style doing this close season transfer window. Apparently they are very close to signing Gervinho and Chris Samba. There is a good chance that Gary Cahill might join as well. The latest news is that they had a bid to sign Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Douglas Costa rejected. Looking at all the rumours, they have Willian, Defoe, Baines, Falcao and Benzema, it seem that Wenger is finally acknowledging the weakness and is strengthening them. Good news for Arsenal fans if the club swoop on all those players. But Wenger being Wenger, nothing is concrete until we see the players holding the club jersey in a press conference.

The second half of the season was a nightmare to be honest. It all went well in January until a game before Carling Cup final. Arsenal have keeping cleansheet for a few succesive game in a row. And the highlight must be the win against Barcelona. Robin Van Persie are scoring for fun. The moment the wistle blow for the Carling Cup final, everything went wrong. And the mistake by the two most inform players, Koscielny and Szcshny, have cost Arsenal the cup. From what I saw, the players let us all down. Remember the stupidity of Diaby against Newcastle? Many of the players just didn't do their best. Nasri are quite in the second half. Cesc are being the shadows of himself. The defender just shattering. The only players that look good are RVP, Jack Wilshere, Koscielny and Szecshny.

I think A. Wenger should wake up and face the reality. Which magic did A. Fergie use to turn the tables for Wenger? Change of the game..., something our manager is not willing to admit. I like Arsenal but I hate the game.
