Global Warming or Second Ice Age?

In yet another dose of truth scientifically disputing the global warming myth, scientists are now predicting, instead of the intense sunspots and flares they were expecting, nearly unprecedented calming of sunspots.
The level of "hybernation" of sun activity is being compared to a period of time when a similar cycle occurred, during the years 1645-1715, a 70-year period known as the "Little Ice Age."
I wonder if these findings will be widely publicized and lead to a change in the frantic pursuit of green energy. What do you think?

I found this site but lack the knowledge to know if it's 'good' science. Maybe you can decipher it better. I do agree, weather changes are cyclical, they have an article on that topic on the site.

I guess there's really no way to know about the authentity of the research. One group says one thing, another group says something else. However, after the big
scandal was revealed a couple years ago of scientists falsifying true data to
promote the idea of global warming, I tend to lean the other way. I think all the hoopla is just to get people to give up more of their money so certain other people can gain more control over international finances.

Yahoo home page had an article last night on how climate is cyclical. I couldn't help but post a comment about scientists getting their stories straight.
You are probably right, us laymen can not determine what those who've spent a lifetime learning about their specialty, say about this. I do think we can determine from common sense and the things we DO know about how things work, who has an agenda and who does not. Truth should be the goal of pure science and politics should NEVER determine scientific fact or policy.

I just read the article this morning. All I can say is that scientists have no way of predicting nature or when the world is going to end.All they can have is assumptions. There's only one who knows everything, that is God.

This is true, no need to get bent all out of shape over what might happen. There's really nothing we can do to change it either way.

I have read an article saying that the activity of the Sun will be at its low level for decades. That has correlate to a relatively colder weather in the past. But then, it would not solve the global warming issues as one have hoped because the low level of activity will eventually end and so unless we do not emit any greenhouse gas now, the global warming effect won't just disappear.
We need green energy because we are low on Fossil fuel reserve. It is widely believed that the fossil fuel reserve will be depleted within 100 years. By that time, we would have nothing to burn...
