If your memory serves you well, I am sure Michael Lewis's 2006 book - Blind Side which looked into the professional American football actually became a huge financial success, earning over $300 million worldwide and won a Best Actress Oscar for its star, Sandra Bullock. Looking at the trailer preview of his another book, Moneyball - which is about how Billy Beane a former Major League baseball player actually became a manager for the struggling Oakland A's and changed the definition of recruitment and concept of management. Unlike, his previous work I feel the film is much more down to earth and emotionally charged. Yet, I could not help sensing success and an Oscar nomination potential here as the film is directed by Bennett Miller, whose previous film "Capote" was nominated for five Oscars including Best Picture and Director. With another Oscar winner star Phillip Seymour Hoffman (Best Actor) appearing in "Moneyball" as the Oakland A's manager, Art Howe. Also, the screenplay is by a pair of Oscar winners: Steven Zallian, 1993's winner for "Schindler's List," and Aaron Sorkin, who took it home last year for "The Social Network." Who knows the Best Actor may just be won by Brad Pitt who is portraying the main character Billy Beane. So, watch out for it this September at your local cinemas. While I don't know that the new movie will be as spectacular as Blindside was and still is, it is still a movie that I am very interested in seeing. The main reason for that is because of the fact that I'm a huge baseball fan and I love seeing the way that sports are portrayed in movies. It might or might not win some awards, but regardless of what awards it will win, I'm pretty sure that the movie will at least be a winner in the box office.

wow, lots of thought in this. I'm not even interested in sports but this sounds interesting. If it would help me understand the sports industry better, it might be worth the watch. Especially if the Brad is in it. I did like Capote and Shindler's List. And I wouldn't have know the director and one of the screenwriters were involved with out that info.
