AARP Los Angeles 2011

I am a member of AARP. I do not have the time to do very much with my local chapter. And many of their benefits / offers do not appeal to me or work for me. But AARP has a convention every year in a different city. I have only begun to go to these conventions. I went to Las Vegas 2009 but ended up spending most of my time in Las Vegas and very little time at the convention. Las year was a different story. I went to Orlando 2010 and had a wonderful time. And I am going to AARP 2011 in Los Angeles this coming September. I am very excited and looking forward to it. For any of you mylotters who are members of AARP or interested in AARP, I recommend the conventions. People come from all over the United States. There is a mini film festival showing good movies that have not yet shown in the theaters. Very well known persons are brought to speak and present workshops. Spike Lee is one of the many guests this year. Last year, Larry King and Whoopi Goldberg were among the well known guests. There is a huge trade show. And there are extra social events which I highly recommend. I went to the meet and greet at Universal Studios Theme Park in Orlando. This year, the meet and greet is at LA Sound Stage. I regret that I did not discover these conventions earlier.
