MyLot Tasks - Do You Participate?

Hi fellow MyLotters, I was just wondering how many of you actually participate in the task section here on Mylot? I think I am more into creating tasks than actually completing them, however, I do complete some. Every now and then I look at the list to see if I can find a couple that I can complete. I just created two tasks yesterday and today. One is to sign up to a website, and the other is to write an article. They are both worth 5 cents. I think the tasks section is a really nice feature of MyLot and it can be very useful at times! :D Especially if you want to make payout sooner. :-) Do you participate in the tasks section? Do you prefer creating tasks or completing them?

I joined recently another social network with a task at myLot. It was created by a friend, and I have been paid in the same minute. However, since I waited 6 months to be paid 5 cents for an easy task, I avoid to do tasks at myLot, not because they are not well paid, but because I know now that a task can have a "pending" status until the end of the world...

Hi topffer, I'm sorry you had a bad experience with tasks here on MyLot. I agree, that is not fun waiting so long for a task to approve. :/ I like to approve tasks as soon as possible whenever I create a task. Usually within 24 hours. :-)

You are not on my friends' list, but you are an active myLot member, Angelee, and if you forget to pay me for a task, I will hunt you in your discussions until I will be paid, even for a cent. There are actually two one cent Digg tasks that I can do in one minute -- I have a Digg add-on on my toolbar --, but the member has a (0) near his user name : we cannot communicate with a task employer if he is not among our friends -- and I don't accept anymore a member with (0) post among my friends, due to spammers --, we have no information about the percentage of tasks he approved, and there is no delay to approve a task at myLot. My thoughts are myLot tasks are good for employers and unfair for workers, and it is why I submit rarely tasks at myLot.

Haha! Yes, I am pretty active here on MyLot, even though I am kind of a new member. :-) I could be on your friend's list if you added me. ;) LOL To be honest, I do not think I would forget to pay anyone for completing a task of mine. I do get on MyLot at least a little while each day, if not most of the day. I highly doubt I could forget to pay someone. :P I see your point. It may best to choose tasks carefully, and try to only do the ones that are created by trusted members or friends. :-)

Yes, I certainly agree with you. The tasks section is a nice feature of myLot. It helps to enhance the eanrings here on myLot. I do participate in the section once i a while, completing the available tasks I feel comfortable with. The variety of tasks offered is quite interesting.

Hi greenline, I'm glad you agree! :D It's nice to be able to do little "jobs" for other MyLot members to earn a bit of extra cash. :-)

I have not created a task myself but I do love submitting the tasks. Last week there was a task for $5.00. All I had to do was sign up for website, download link, and then paste my email address. The easiest $5.00 I have ever made and it was complete in less than 5 minutes. What kind of tasks do you complete and how do you do make them?

I have always attempted tasks specially of Sharon Bucks but of late they appear while I am sleeping and even if I see them there is not enough time left to complete them.

Hey I think I actually saw one of your tasks whilst I was browsing the 'tasks' section here on myLot. I actually do do the tasks, but I usually have some requirements. I mostly do them if they're over $0.10. I just don't want to spend my time doing anything less than that. And usually the $0.10 tasks are quite simple. It's usually just a sign-up somewhere, a like on a Facebook page, or a comment or view on an article. If someone pays $0.02, I think it's pretty cheap, and I'll probably stay away from it. I actually did 4 tasks today. Two of them were the usual $0.10 tasks, while the other two were SharonBucks. If you haven't heard of SharonBucks, she's just this woman who pays around the range of $2.50 to write articles. I did one today, and hopefully I get accepted! I really hate it when I do an article and it ends up getting rejected. It's like, I spent so much time researching and constructing the article, and all that time is wasted while I don't get paid. Hopefully that doesn't happen. I also did a $5.00 one where you download this program and just give your email. It was pretty easy. So yeah,on occasion I like to do the tasks. It just depends on the amount of money that the person gives.

Hi keeegan_ess, Thanks for responding! I am the same way. I only do tasks here on MyLot if the pay is 10 cents or more. Yes, I know who sharonbucks is, I did the $5 task as well last week. It was quite easy, and the $5 was a great reward! It's the most I have seen a task pay on here! :-)

I complete tasks from time to time when I find one that is interesting, but I do it rarely because most of the tasks are poorly paid and I don't see the point of bothering for 1 cent even if it only implies a 'like' on Facebook, for example.I think tasks would be much more interesting if their creators were a little more generous when establishing the rewards.

Hi polaris, I am the same way. Every once and a while I will visit the task section to see what's new. If I see one that I can do, and are interested in doing... I will do them. However, I generally only do them if they are worth 3 cents or more. The 1 cent tasks are not worth my time in my opinion. You can make more discussing in the time that it would take to complete that task.

Yes I do participate in task whenever there are good offers. It is just sad that those with better and bigger offers are usually limited to US citizens only. At any rate, if the task pays reasonably and the pay is compensating then I do participate, otherwise I just ignore the available tasks.

A few things. First I used to do the tasks when they first started they were awesome. They were by Sharron Buxx and they were all worth some money that it was worth doing them. My first 5 or 6 articles got accepted and I was on a roll. Then the rules got stricter for the articles, but I wasn't informed so a bunch of my articles got sent back. Then people on mylot started to complain that they wanted to pay each other for doing tasks. I think that was the biggest mistake of all. Now we have a bunch of 2 cent tasks or less than a cent for signing up under a person as their referral. I won't do them anymore. It's been a program that started out great but was cheapened because enough is never enough when a good thing happens for people. And finally I would caution you about signing up for tasks that you can't complete. Think of them as contracts. Not only are you letting the person down that you agreed to do a job on not followed through... but you are also taking that job away from someone who could follow through on it. I'm sure once the person who contracts that job realizes that you aren't going to do it they send it back out there to be done by someone who will follow through. But, in the meantime it slows things down considerably to not follow through on a task.

Hi dismalgrin, I wasn't here on myLot back then, but it sounds like the tasks used to be much better, and much more popular. I will do tasks nowadays only if I know I can complete them, and if they are worth more than 3 to 5 cents. I don't like wasting my time on 1 cent tasks. But that's just me.

Well honestly speaking I never participate on mylot. When I first joined mylot, I did a few tasks on mylot taking into consideration the earnings which can boost my money but I didnt got any sucess in the task profile I just wasted my valuable time on task thus from that day iam spendng my quality time on discussions and responses. I also feel that there are very less chances of earning on mylot, since there is lot of competition involved in it.

Hi there, I have participated in tasks but not very many of them. I will do things like, like my facebook page since I may already have facebook open in another tab and or anything that I can do within a couple minutes. The only articles I have done to date are Sharonbucks but I do not spend much time in the tasks section as they earnings are too low. I do know that some members specifically come here for the tasks, therefore, they must be popular. I have not to date created any tasks but who knows I may someday. Good luck with your tasks.

Hi hardworkinggurl, Thanks! I generally only do tasks if they are higher than 1 cent. Last week, I did one that was worth $5! I was so happy! :D

Hi Angel, I tried a few tasks way back in my early days here. After some rejected tasks or bad links, I never touched them again except for some curiosity. I guess, I am not that lucky on mylot tasks. Maybe in the future.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had such a bad experience with myLot tasks in the past. I've never had such an experience with the tasks. I always make sure I can complete the tasks before I accept one, and I always carefully follow the instructions.

Hi angelee, I rarely do tasks as i remain occupied with discussions.Secondly the rates of tasks in MYLOT is so less that one don't want to take it. I think MYLOT should increase the rates so as to make more interesting because most of the people ignore tasks for this reason only.

I think a good minimum for tasks would be 5 cents. That way, you know that any task you complete will get you at least 5 cents. I also stay occupied with discussions, as it's more fun... and I can earn more by discussing!

I haven't done any task yet as I don't know about this yet. My answer to the question is that I like to participate the tasks section but I haven't participated yet. The reason is that, I don't know to do it. Can somebody explain to me or where shall I go in order to read about making tasks.

Before when i was able to online frequently, i always complete a few tasks daily, so easy for me to reach the payout. Now, i seldom participate in the task section, since there are not much tasks available. Besides that, i have limited time to online recently. So far, i haven't create any task in Mylot yet. I still prefer to complete task rather than creating task.

I've only done one task because I realized that the pay for most of them wasn't worth it. The only one I did do had me sign up for a social networking site, which wasn't so bad. I almost took this one about writing an article about internet movies databases, but I decided against it because the instructions weren't clear and the task was only worth like 10 cents. I decided that it wasn't worth the payout and that I could earn more through discussions. I was completely right. I've earned about 50 cents in my first 2 days and I'm working on earning more. This is more tahn I've earned in a long time on Triond or Helium.
