A friend of mine just gave me her old celfone Nokia 3100 because she's not using it anymore since I am needing one for my other network sim. the prob is that she forgot the security code of it. It would be such a waste if I can't use it just because of the stupid security code. pLease help me guys..what's the best solution for this? Have a good day! God Bless!

First of all, try 12345, which is the default security code for most Nokias. Many people don't change this but if it has been changed, then *#2640# should display the security code currently in use on your Nokia Cell phone. If that doesn't work, then you may have to visit a store and pay a small amount to have the phone set to the factory default. You will lose any data stored on the phone but, since it was someone else's phone, this may not matter to you. There are some helpful/useful Nokia codes here: http://www.askstudent.com/tips/nokia-secret-cell-phone-codes/

I had it fixed to a celfone technician in a local mall here in Manila a month ago, Thank God it only costs 100 pesos, so it's not that expensive as I have expected. Anyway, If in case I encounter this problem again in the future I can turn on your suggestions here among the 2 others. Thank you very much owlwings!

I forgot to look at when this was first posted! I'm sorry, I would have expected you to have solved the problem one way or another by now. Usually, just taking the thing to a local technician is the easiest way (and who really begrudges 100 pesos to have the job done quickly and efficiently?). I hope that you find that page useful and informative in using your Nokia!

if the phone's never been wet/soaked, then go to a phone technician and let them reset the code to the default one (12345, I guess..)
