All the rules that you should follow to live in society or in a community like myLot. By example, at myLot it is a violation of guidelines to disclose personal information, and certainly another one to ask members to disclose personal information like their name and affiliation.

Yes, that is in the guidelines to not give out personal info... I gave out what I felt morality was, the best I could anyway.

Thanks for informing me about the guidelines. Just so you know, I have no intention of using the info on more than just my assignment. This is purely for an education use only, to see whether people know what morality is, and its importance to them in their daily lives. ^^

Anything that you don't feel guilty of after attempting is a moral deed to me and doing moral deeds is morality. The inverse, things that make you feel guilty of yourselves ever in your life once you have attempted it are immoral. For any person who can unheard inner self, doing immoral things won't be a problem. Talking about my own self, I can live it both ways, if I feel guilty about something, I may try to make up for it or completely erase it from my mind. So, I can deduce that morality is not of utmost importance for me. Name: Raj Gupta Affiliation: Don't know what you mean by affiliation here!

Morality for me is answering to a conscience, healthy values and being the best possible person I can be. We need morality to govern our actions in life and morality is very important to our society. Without morality, we would be a savage species and would live in a remorseless, catastrophic society.

1. For you, what is morality? From wikipedia, morality is a sense of behavioral conduct that differentiates intentions, decisions and actions between those that are good and bad. From the essence of this definition, I think morality is subjective to a person. What moral to you might be immoral to another much like an opinion. However it differs in a way with opinions. Morality is driven by the human nature of conscience and emotions as opinions are dictated by reasoning and logic. Morality is a level at which a person learns to accept a certain subject as right or wrong through the intuition of his/her conscience or feelings or even dictated by the running consensus conscience. 2. Is morality important? Why? Morality is attributed to the human nature of conscience which no human can do without. Much like nature in itself, morality is a critical piece in man's life. Hence it is important because we are in effect subjected to it. Since we cannot do away with it, it really should be essential and important.

If I can recall it right, I think the main principle of morality is doing the right thing. I do think that it is important since I believe that it is one of the reasons why there is harmony in society. I think it also has something to do with values. With good and right values, things will be better.

For me, morality is a set of different codes of conduct that is socially acceptable within a given society. For instance, in our society, it is necessary to wear clothes so we don't show off our nakedness. In another culture nakedness is the norm. Other moral codes include how men and women relate to each other. It used to be immoral for a woman to have a baby out of wedlock, but now that has changed. There are many moral codes within a society and within families. Morality is important so that everyone within a given society is sort of on the same page with each other. For instance, it is against the law and immoral for a person to walk around naked in the street. It is also immoral and aginst the law to flash your nakedness to children and adults. If there were not rules of moral conduct there would be no legal laws of conduct either, so in this respect morality is important to society. Can't give my name.. sorry... no personal info should be given out.

My idea of morality may be a bit different than that of others. I look at morals to be doing the right thing, but the right thing changes depending on the situation. for example: it's wrong to kill, but if somebody has your mother at gunpoint and you shoot him and kill him, I believe it was a moral thing to do. you were defending your parent. That was a situation that demanded for somebody's life to end or somebody to get shot. I always fully examine the situation before I decide what is the best moral decision.
