I know a lot of people who are distributors for health based MLMs. Each have their own way of doing things; shakes, mixes, drops, pills, or other supplements, even "chips" and BBs to keep attached to your skin. They even come with videos, audios, books to read, and classes to attend.
I think it would be hard to do one of these because there doesn't seem to be a difference between them. How do you sell one over the other?

The competition is too high. Basically you need to have the skills to sell ice to and Eskimo. We tried Monavie and went so much in debt we nearly went bankrupt. We're still pay8ing off our Monavie debt.
You basically need to be heartless in order to succeed in MLM. AS I stated there's a lot of competitiion between companies, and even other distributors of the same product. I'll just leave MLM alone, personally.
And as GardenGerty said, you can basically find the same kind of stuff in health food stores.

Wow, I'm glad my MLM doesn't expect me to be heartless, in fact, I don't think a heartless person could do it. I'm also glad we have no competition, MLM or otherwise. I mean, yes, there are bigger greeting card companies, but no other company is offering fully personalized greeting cards for only 96 cents... much less made from the comfort of your own keyboard.
I'm just asking because I've been approached by a lot of people for health based products using the MLM business model.. but I can't get into either of them, because I can't see any way I could do it. A lot of the people who do it are making money at it though.. and I don't know any that are heartless.

You don't. We have tried a couple of times. Supposedly we get this special product, then we find it in the health food stores, different name, same product, same claims.
