Is a Verizon 4G LTE phone worth it??

So I'm due for an upgrade to a new phone from Verizon, and there are some phones that I like that are on the 4G LTE network and others that are on the 3G network. 4G LTE phones are faster but aren't covered everywhere, and they also drain the phone battery big time. So is it worth it? Please help!!!

First thing you need to find out is if there is 4G service in your area. Mostly it is only in the bigger cities right now. People are getting mad because they buy 4G phones just to find out there is no service for them in their area. I live in a small city in Ohio and the service is not here yet.

It actually is in my city and one near my city, but I'm still skeptical.
